I swear if BK runs off Brennan who’s waited his turn unlike many guys in today’s college game he can kick rocks.

I don’t like this kid coming here at all - this is Brennan’s year period. Give Nuss one more shot as the backup with Howard getting in 4 games.

I seriously doubt BK would tell him this.

Daniels was, in essence, a "free agent". One that has had some history of success at the most important position in the game. I doubt his options were limited to going to LSU to POTENTIALLY start. Playing time is the greatest commodity in college football. Daniels only has 2 years of eligibility remaining and this was his only shot to transfer without penalty (i.e. sitting out a season). So I would imagine very high on his list of priorities was a place he could likely come in and play immediately.

He wasn't looking for somewhere he could MAYBE start. He was already the starter at ASU. Just like Burrow, with only two seasons of eligibility remaining, didn't leave OSU to go POSSIBLY start somewhere else. Daniels isn't either.

I doubt Orgeron expressly told Burrow that if he signed with LSU he would 100% be the starter without having to lift a finger. But I'm sure it was very much implied that he had a great chance (probably likely chance) of being the starter if he came to LSU. Otherwise, Burrow would have gone elsewhere to get what he was looking for...playing time. The same is probably true for Kelly with Daniels. He probably did not tell him with 100% certainty he would be the starter if he signed with LSU. But I'm sure it was VERY much implied he has a great chance to be the starter if he came here. Otherwise, Daniels would have signed elsewhere.

I think Brody’s comments are more about logic than sources.

Do you believe Brennan will stay if he’s not the clear cut starter after spring? If not, then you agree with him. The chances of him transferring just went up quite a bit.

I get it but it really bums me out how it’s gone for a true blue LSU guy like Myles

This is not going to be a popular thought but I don't think Myles has worked hard enough for this not to keep happening to him. I think for him, his best avenue to a big year would be to go to a mid-major(maybe USM)...put up gaudy numbers and give himself a chance to get a look at the next level. I would be willing to bet you that when Walker Howard's number gets called, he won't come off the field until he's done with college.

Brennan has to earn his year on the field. Nobody is entitled to anything. That’s not how this works.

Didn't he already enter the transfer portal well after Orgeron was fired? Why don't the coaches just give the starting to job to he and Nuss for all they've done for us?!!

What I don't understand is why did Kelly settle for Daniels?

He didn't. Word is he wasn't looking for a QB. Maybe he has seen something in MB he is not comfortable with.

Apparently though Daniels sought after LSU and not the other way around. Obviously they wouldn’t pass on adding a talented QB to the roster/depth. I don’t think he was given any type of assurance other than he will be given the opportunity to compete for QB1.

The question is does Myles still have the passion for football and is he working to get in football shape. He is about to get married and it seems like he would rather be outdoors hunting and fishing than football. We will see come camp time.

Worked out well for Phil Robertson and Terry Bradshaw.

It gives a little more validity to the idea that Kelly actually did go after Caleb Williams. Considering he just signed a lesser version of him.

Daniels just threw for 10 TD & 10 int. He might be the one shaking off the rust.

And it took him an entire season.

Brennan threw for 11 TDs and 3 INTS in 3 games.

It seems pretty easy to understand. Denbrock likes dual-threat QB's and Daniels fell in their lap. Maybe our OL will be improved enough to protect Myles but man is he a sitting duck in the pocket! Daniels has a big arm and if his OL will protect him and he is patient, he will be as good/better out of the pocket as Myles is. When you throw in the running ability then the definite advantage goes to Daniels. I personally much prefer a dual-threat guy as long as he isn't a "run-first" dual threat.

One person had an awful roster all around

One had the best reciever in college football and a ton of 4-5 stars WRs too.

Also Mizzou, Vandy, and Miss State.

Stop comparing them

But while we are comparing them, one of them has only started 4-5 games in 5 years. The other started 29 games in 3 years.

One of these guys has had 2 major injuries the past 2 years. The other one hasn't had any.

Spot on. Daniels has a year of eligibility left but I don’t expect him to be a five year college starter

He has 3 years to play 2 actually. Let's not let facts stand in the way though.

If he does, I hope he kills it wherever he goes and gets his shot at the NFL
If he's scared of Jayden Daniels then he doesn't need to worry about the NFL.

I'll say it - he's a pussy if he leaves now. Myles should for sure beat out Jayden if he's healthy. This would be weak.

At least compete before leaving.
