It’s only brought up when dipshit Clemson fans come on here spouting “but muh Ole Miss”. Neither team is playing at the level they were playing during either of those games now but both fan bases will use that against the other one.
The more relevant games would be the OU and Georgia games and their OSU game.

They gave up 21 points to UNC. That’s hardly a blight on Venables. LSU gave up 37 against Ole Miss. That is a horse of a different color. I, for one, don’t think much of the Ole Miss game because we were up 31-7 at halftime. At that point the game was over, so there is no sense in evaluating what happened after that.

Why would anyone bring up Venables? Clemson D gave up 20 points and <300 yards. UNC didn't even break 200 yards until the 4th quarter. They had 11 drives and scored on 3 of them. 6 of their drives were 15 yards or less. That game was due to sloppy O play, not D.
