How awesome it would be Saturday night if they load Mike up and bring back the tradition of bringing him to the game!

It's not good for him and it's our responsibility to do what's best for him

You have that backwards. Having him at the game does nothing except allow you to brag to your loser friends about how lsu has a tiger on the field

Are we in the off-season? All these threads about stupid stuff. LEDs, crowds, stadium speakers with the biggest game of the year this Saturday.

Would be better if they stuffed you in the cage.

There’s been several threads on this, including one the other day. Search for em and you’ll find your answer.

Look, I agree Mike is never coming back to the games. But to act like what you’re saying here is a fact annoys the hell out of me. Exactly what studies have shown that exposure to crowds or loud noises 7 times a year is bad for tigers? Stressful? It’s not like the jungle tigers evolved in was a low stress environment.

It’s called anthropomorphism - projecting human characteristics, in this case weaknesses, on an animal. It’s not science or medicine. But this is the stupid world we live in, so LSU has no choice.

This!

Plus...the alleged "stress" of being in the stadium 6-7 times per year is a pretty low payment for him to have to make in order for the world-class treatment and freedom from any real worries he gets the rest of his time.

I believe It was observed by his staff that the fireworks we started doing, he did not like. You don’t need a scientific study to determine something is making animal uncomfortable. Just like some dogs hate fireworks on 4th of July and what not. Tigers didn’t evolve in low stress environments yes but they also weren’t evolved with explosions going off. If the animal is uncomfortable you shouldn’t force it on him. It was a cool tradition but it’s over not coming back. Idk why some of our fans are so obsessed with this (not saying you’re one of them), it wasn’t even that intimidating or cool. It’s an animal being paraded around in a cage for a few minutes lol who cares? We’re here to watch football not be at the zoo.

News flash to Handsome Pete and the rest of you mouth breathers.

LSU has a veterinary medicine department. They know more about animal behavior than you nit wits.

I think every dumbass that wants this should have to do a face to face w/Mike and see if Mike will let anyone walk him in on a leash.

We have a literal fricking tiger on campus in a state of the art facility getting round the clock care and you’re unsatisfied because he’s not paraded around a field (and getting the hell scared out of him by thousands of screaming fans).

You probably see Mike the same way Paris Hilton saw her little purse Chihuahuas.
