probably not making it to LSU

21st overall value is 3 Million and I have heard Turang's number is pretty high but the Brewers could go higher than 3 million but I got to think he is gone.

Let’s hope Josh Smith has a healthy offseason. We simply cannot compete with the middle infielders batting 8 and 9 like they are now.

Both could hit it out of the infield. Hughes cannot.

Hughes is much farther along then Kramer was as a freshman.

The Buzz: Turang will undoubtedly be a first round draft pick, and LSU probably wouldn’t have any chance of getting him on campus if it weren’t for a relatively pedestrian senior season offensively. Some around LSU believe it is now a coin flip whether or not Turang signs professionally because he’s believed to have a rather exorbitant number in mind when it comes to a signing bonus. Keep a close eye on where the California native lands, and his name remains uncalled after pick No. 20 or so, start to get excited.

If I remember correctly Nola was damn good from the day he got in the starting lineup as a freshman.

He hit about .250 as a freshman.

He hit .240. He played because of his defense.

Do you remember how bad Andrew Stevenson hit as a freshman?

I don’t think Hughes finishes his college career at LSU. While good defensively, he’s not an everyday SEC SS. I love his heart, doesn’t make many mistakes and is fundamentally sound but the only reason he played as much as he did is because of injuries. Depending on the recruits and transfers that make it campus, he may not have a spot when fall rolls around.

It’s gonna take some kind of stud to get Hughes out of the shortstop position and that stud is not Josh Smith.

I love Smith, but he was much more comfortable at 3B.
