Agreed, this was on him.

I really thought adding a PR room to the athletic building would have put us over the top but turns out that means jack shite when it comes to playing football.

Hired BBQ buddy for special teams and was a disaster. Brought in House was the worst hire of all time. So did some homerun hires on defense. Could have brought in an elite OC but went bargain basement route.

Then brought back Raymond and Baker after running them off

Kelly told the press his team doesn't have the killer instinct needed to finish off an opponent and on the sidelines his team was acting as if it had already won. Nice for him to say this after the fact to reporters but did he pull his team together during the game and read them the riot act when he possibly could had made a difference?

I agree but if we as a fan base keep comparing every coach to Saban it’s always going to end it bad. CBK was hired to win a Natty, he left ND to win a Natty, and he came to BR to recruit dawgs. The only thing is the dawgs didn’t come from a suburban pet shop. These dawgs are different they’re from the streets, more athletic, faster, and more competitive, different. He is going to have to learn to communicate to them in a way that channels their ability with discipline. Maybe this why several critics said he won’t make it here. I believe he’s smart enough to learn while still be himself. He didn’t have to leave ND, cushy job and stable. He’ll figure it out but he better hope his initiation speeds up now, like right now.

Seemed like fake outrage imo.

Peter Burns said the same thing on SEC Today.

For the last three years I simply record the game if it's on tv and wait to see if they're going to win before I waste my time and blood pressure wasting 3-4 hours of my time.

Can you imagine what Saban would have done to Lacy and Burns?

Yeah! I just watched a Youtube video of Whitworth telling how Saban handled discipline when a player forgot his responsibilities.

Reminded me of a game when a Freshman DB made an in game mistake, right in front of Saban. He jumped up, grabbed the player by the face mask, and told how to play, about six inches from his face. A couple of plays later the young man made the play as instructed. Saban jumped off the Bench and congratulated him as he was heading back to the huddle.

They have higher standards for non-athletes not athletes. Don't buy the hype

It did seem kind of contrived.

I think he’s more upset about not getting a turnover. We had our chances. USC played a great game. They made all the crucial plays down the stretch. Would like another shot at them down the road if we make playoffs. Geaux Tigers!

And holy frick if Brian Kelly wasn't right there in the face of the LSU player who made the gun gesture.

Selective memories some of you fools have.

Kelly is upset for the same reason the fan base is upset.

It was a game that LSU could’ve won … and should’ve won.

Despite owning the time of possession against USC, LSU should’ve gone to the run and eaten more of the clock.

Don’t get me wrong, LSU has a very good passing attack …. but big games come down to the team that exerts their will. LSU had a chance to put the Trojans on tilt in the second half … by committing to a punishing run offense. Advantage LSU.

IMO, that didn’t happen, which surprised me completely.

If he had won, he wouldn't have needed to bang the table. He's angry because he is now on the hot seat.

Funny you say all this because most here are bitching that they got away from the passing game which they say was working.

But I too thought the run game was going pretty good when Emery started toting the rock.

Disagree. He does give a shite, his ego definitely wants a championship. He’s tired of the big game Kelly mockery, he doesn’t wanna go down like that. This is frustrating for him.

The 100 million makes it a lot more tolerable, but he cares.

He just doesn’t have the ability to have his team prepared in game 1. I don’t think he ever will. This is 3 years in a row. That’s 30% of all the opening games he’ll play.

I’m not being “typical negative emotional LSU fan” when I say that I am 90% sure we start with a loss against Clemson next year, too.

Kelly practices these post-game loss speeches in the mirror at home.

He has no incentive to be elite. Getting fired gives him generational wealth.
