His pride is preventing him from admitting that this team has played soft thus far (not everyone mind you) and he knows we should've handled Nicole St.

He is not wrong. I have posted on 3-4 different threads in lastcouple days regarding our shitty play design. Our running plays are shite.

We dont run I formation with a fullback. We do not run smash mouth football anymore. It is not unusual to run a play and leave a defensive player unblocked because they should be out of the play flow. Somehow we are running into these unblocked players which says formation is bad, assignment is bad , the play is bad for situation, or read is bad.

Ism no expert here. I am summarizing the film reviews I have seen.

Did he see the film of our center being pushed 5-6 yards into the backfield and then pancaked? That didn’t look very physical on the Tigers’ part…. This feels like Miles 2.0, where we’re asked not to believe our eyes…

Yeah my buddy said something similar. He said Kelly is a “con artist.” And my cousin said Kelly is a “c_nt.”

LMAO! I was leaving the game in Vegas, and them boys were texting me all sorts of gripes.

That post confuses the hell out of me. He says he feels better about our physicality, then says that our offensive line isn’t physical enough and can’t knock people off the ball?

No...he's saying that it's ridiculous to run the ball against 8-man fronts just to say you can, which is what Les Miles used to try to do. I still think there's questions about our O-line and the run game, but he's not wrong here.

I rather Les Miles explanations. We knocked people off the ball? I must be blind.

we should have had running lanes open up big enough for a Mack truck against Nicholls so anyone could have seen the hole to run through

Here is the flaw in your thinking. We don’t run a power offense, so a team like Nichols can easily stop our run game by loading the box. In that case you just have to beat them by throwing the ball, and that’s what LSU did.

Same kind of double speak gibberish we heard during Miles tenure. I have certainly not given up hope on this team, but Kelly is not trending in the right direction in my opinion. Hope he gets going.

USC had 7/8 in the box and we still tried to run. They must have limited Nussmeier ability to check out of a play.

We are watching and wondering why we do not pass every play given how the defense was lined up

We are averaging 88 yds rushing per game, and John Emery is actually still our leading rusher

We haven’t played a stout defense yet IMO. They really need to either figure this out quickly or just go full air raid.

LSU needs a dynamic RB

This. Fit with the scheme is a big deal. Go back and look at last year when Logan Diggs had multiple 100 yard games and well over 5 ypc behind 4 of the 5 starters on the OL. He had good vision and was better suited to the scheme.

He wouldn’t help if he were here this year because he’s still hurt and isn’t playing yet, but he’s a good example of how much an RB’s style can make a difference for your run game. ,

They look great on tape. They just look bad during the game. No problems with that. Good lord we are in trouble.

In the first half and that's why we threw it around. Second half they played much softer which is why we ran it more.

I am HOPING he means that he threw the ball a lot vs Nicholls because Nicholls were stacking the box and he saw no point in running against a numbers disadvantage.

This is exactly what he said. He also said that there were more runs called that Nuss checked out of.

Its sad that people who consider themselves LSU fans will hate their
coach just because they didn`t like the hire. You people can`t wait to see
him fail just so you can say I told you so.BK has more wins than any coach
in college football the last 20 years, but he can`t coach,RIGHT.I feel sorry
for people who live miserable existence and have to be right.
