with a guy like Millroe you should work backwards, he's an RB playing QB. Why would you not make him prove he'll burn you with his arm before just slowly bleeding to death by letting him convert 3rd downs at will?

House repeatedly does this, its like he thinks he's a genius for not attacking an offense like you'd expect him to "ahhh Bama thinks I'm going to spy so let me shock them by NOT doing that." Nope...they're just going to bludgeon you to death

Brian Kelly just said that he has seen the progress that he wants to see on the defensive side of the ball and used the Army and Auburn games as examples.

What a loser if he really believes this.

saying the same old lines that coaches say. Cashing the big Jimbo checks. Not delivering what he’s paid to deliver here.

He should be pissed. He should be absolutely fricking embarrassed that he is the head coach of the worst defense in college football.

Exactly. He just pissed away probably the best chance any coach has had at beating Bama twice. And all he needed was a halfway legit defense that can be where they're supposed to and tackle.

Focus is making the program elite...good is not enough.

Seems to be Brian Kelly's mantra this year, or at least after this game. He said something similar multiple times in his postgame comments.

He hadnt really run that much until Sat night. He only ran more than 10 times that werent sack augmented against MS State. Only for 69 (nice) yards.

He had been doing most of his work with his arm.

Ott noted after the press conference that Vegas expects Daniels to play noting that Vegas has inside sources for that.

Kelly thought played Toviano played solid as a freshman cornerback getting his first start on the road.

I actually thought this as well and have wanted him to see playing time since before the season started.

maybe that's b/c teams were making him beat them by throwing the ball, and he wasn't able to run, which is why their offense was terrible.

Alabama's offense hadn't scored more than 3 TD's on any opponent this year except their first game against MTSU, and LSU let them score 6.

Re: spy. He said that that wouldn’t have been a halftime adjustment .. they have plans for that.

I’m sorry. I’m a girl. But wouldn’t implementing the use of the spy plan at half time be and “adjustment”??

Have you watched much of Bama this year? They havent used him as an explicit running threat all season.

Its no excuse to not run a spy once he's shredding you, but the notion hes a rb playing QB aint right. He's been a thrower 1a and 1b until Sat.

I love how the fans always know better than the coaches. It doesn’t matter the sport. Across all sports our fans always know what should’ve been done.

let me repeat myself for you:

I don't care what he's done or not done this year, Milroe has been arse all year, but was a heisman candidate against us.

He will fix the defense. That is a man who wants to win a natty. Nobody said this was going to be easy. The other coaches before him had got left with talent. Kelly is building his own

Seems like every damn time, even when LSU wins. Same story with the competition.

This is the biggest problem I have with Kelly and his staff. They only figure out what to do AFTER the damage is done. They apparently didn't realize Milroe is the best athlete and fastest player on the Alabama roster until he ran over them all night. But they'll fix it for the next game.

This X 1000. He's reactive not proactive...at least so far.
