Nuss played good, but his potential is definitely limited if he refuses to run or even move out of the pocket when the pressured. Nuss has 2 carries for -12 yards in his last 140 snaps. That tells me he doesn't get sacked, but he also doesn't run. He has to at least be able to do that 3-5 times a game to be an effective QB against better teams in crunch time.
Otherwise, everyone will pressure him and just wait for him to throw off his back foot with zero regard for him taking off (a huge disadvantage for LSU).

Yep, I know Nuss is not a runner, but him not ever at least trying to add that wrinkle to our offense by taking it himself a couple of times gave the USC defense one less thing to think about.

Nuss doesn’t have the killer instinct, Miller Moss does period. So yes he definitely out played Nuss. Now I hope BK comment fuels Nuss into getting that killer instinct

Kelly never like Nuss because he isn’t a running QB. Look at Kelly’s history with QBs.

Difference was Lincoln Riley is a superior play-caller than Sloan.
They literally recycled JD plays with not-so-mobile Nuss. The bad Anderson pass? That was built for JD. The zone read? They know Nuss aint running so they crashed every single time stopping our runs. Zero creativity.

Yep! I noticed that neither QB scrambled for plus yds all game. Nuss has got to read the end on that zone read play and tuck it if read dictates. He is capable of better than avg running.
It is not like Nuss is our only QB either. We have 4scholly QBs on the roster.

That's one thing he's correct about. Moss made some great plays when it really mattered late in that game. Nuss played well overall but missed a wide open guy in the flat on 2nd down that would have given us a chance for 7 instead of the 3 we came away with. Also threw it right to the other team on our last possession.
