Why do people think it’s still 1978 and they play only 11 games? 10 wins these days, especially when you have to count a bowl game to get there, means you are not good enough to compete for anything meaningful.

He wasn’t championship level at ND. He left apparently because of the higher caliber player he can get at LSU. He then recruits at a level below the upper echelon of the conference. So he’s still Notre Dame level in a much more competitive context.

UGa and Bama wipe the floor with LsU in recruiting. He will never compete for championships until that is fixed.

Did y'all melt like this when Ace recruiter Ed O finished with the #15 class in 2018?

Notre Dame has been worse since Brian Kelly left and Marcus Freeman took over. That is objective fact.

ND the last two years under Brian Kelly : 21-4

ND the first two years under Marcus Freeman: 18-7

Lol, no stop with this narrative.

Defense was bad this year but wasn't a disater last year. Also has a history of good DC hires.

They were bad last year also, just not historically bad.

Denbrock sees the writing on the wall and is leaving this offense.

What narrative? It's literal fact. On3 has LSU at #5 for both of the last two years.

You've been melting and moving goalposts all season long on Kelly. You're just a whiny bitch at this point.

I didn't realize the 2024 season started tomorrow. Daylight savings catches me slipping every year.

And if we're having this coversation in year 6, you're point would be valid. Honestly, with the new SEC, you likely have a good shot at the playoffs with 2, maybe 3 losses.

I think if I told you we’d go 20-7 his first 2 years here you would take that.

Is this a melt?

You changed people’s usernames to include Karen. Did you think that was clever or original or a contribution to the discussion?

You realize he’s done better in his first 2 years here than he did at Notre Dame, right? Also 19-7 thusfar Saban was 18-8.

So since the playoff expanded it’s okay to lose two to three games a year? We would not have made it either of these past two years even with a heisman qb. Expect to lose at least three games every year with Brian Kelly as the HC. He’s not a big game coach
