Have you taken a peak at the weak schedules Kelly has had to contend with? Look at the top 25 and how many Notre Dame opponents are there? Only one. The one he lost to. At home.

This is the guy who went for two against Northwestern (!) when up 11 points, not realizing that a TD, 2-pt conversion and FG equalled 11 points. Notre Dame lost in overtime.

This is the guy who, in FG range against Tulsa (!), decided to throw the ball into the end zone and got it picked off. Lost to Tulsa! And in the press conference said "Get used to it."

This is the guy who beat Toledo (!) (7-5, 5-3 in the MAC) this year, at home, by THREE. In his 12th season. With all his own guys.

This is the guy who managed a 4-8 season at the most storied (then the winningest) program in the land.

This is the guy who is celebrated as the winningest coach in Notre Dame history (only if you disregard the many wins ND agreed to vacate) but nobody talks about the record he set first, a few years ago - he is the LOSINGEST coach in Notre Dame history.

You're all excited, having just jettisoned the coach who, two years ago, won you an NC.

Kelly is not as good a coach. He got every advantage at ND, every single thing he wanted. And he could NOT win the big game - schooled twice by Saban in the playoffs, 4-10, I think, against top-10s. And he will see a lot more top-10s in Baton Rouge, won't he.

Oh, but Al, he couldn't recruit at Notre Dame! To which I say B$. Gerry F'ing Faust brought in top-5 classes at Notre Dame. Notre Dame recruits itself. The truth is that Kelly is not a good recruiter. People, including recruits, can see through him to realize what a self-absorbed, loathesome narcissist he is.

So I say it again, as I raise a glass (I've been waiting 12 years for this dwad to depart) - Good. Luck. With. That.
