10 games in the regular season is something to brag about not 9-3 with a lower tier bowl win

It takes talent to get wins.

Kelly is bringing in talent. It's coming in waves.

It takes more than talent and a lot better coaching than what we saw in the second half vs aTm, staff was clueless as to how to win that game. Team wasn't prepared for a running QB and that is on the coaches. Kelly has shite the bed in 3 straight opening games, it's a bad look.

The team knew what to do. They work on it all of the time. LSU just didn't have the talent on the field to do it.

LSU has lost three straight opening games. But Kelly did not shite the bed in any of those games.

At the end of the day, the BK era will depend on if he is able to win a national championship
I disagree.

To me, it's more about being seriously in the hunt for an NC most years. If we make the playoffs most years and advance to the semifinals fairly often, then that's a success.

Winning the NC is the cherry on top, but it's hard to win 4 or 5 playoff games against good teams.

But being in the playoff most years and advancing to the semis or better is what I'd deem a success for BK.

He isn’t going anywhere so settle in and hope we get another lightning strike like 2019.

agreed, and I posted something similar yesterday.

9-3 regular season, with 3 of those wins being cupcakes, is not good. I don't give a single shite about winning a crappy bowl to get to 10-3.

9-3 regular season is a failure at a football school like LSU.

Agreed, it really boils down to that since college football postseason is becoming more like college basketball's. A successful season for a great program really is and should be measured by whether you're in the final 12 in the CFP by December, if you win the title, that's even better but consistent contention is really the standard by which the great teams are measured.

Given our football history holistically, 9-3 with a few breakthrough title seasons sprinkled in is actually more representative of the LSU football program history than we fans delude ourselves into believing

Let's be realistic: we aren't Georgia (now), we aren't Alabama, we aren't Ohio State, we aren't historically speaking blue bloods Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and USC. In terms of the great blue blood college football program totem pole, we're more second-tier with schools like Florida, Tennessee, FSU, Nebraska, Michigan, Texas, etc. That's not bad by any stretch we just aren't dominant on a regular basis like Saban's Bama and Kirby's Georgia, we could be with BK and this staff but we have to prove it.

This is very fair. No deep run in playoffs by year 7 and it’s time to part ways.

The fact is that LSU is married to him for some time to come.
At least until the BUY OUT is "Manageable."

I promise you though that BO $$$$ is already being collected because there are definite "Warning Signs" present for those who know what to look for.

I think there is a better chance of BK retiring out of frustration before he ever wins a National Championship here.

Defense is getting their shite together, but now there are coaching and talent problems on Offense that are openly apparent..........

Good for 3 losses every season as an SEC coach. At least 2 games when the team just is not ready to play 60 minutes.

Your talking about a ole miss team next year that won’t be good ! And an Alabama team that will be without molroe! And lsu will probably get there qb back next year plus they will be better on defense but on the flip side we are losing good offensive lineman those maybe coin flips depending on the oline

Well, he has three opening day losses all of which were big games. UGA in the SECCG (no one expected a win, but once again special teams looked retarded), the Gumps last year and Aggie this year.

He beat the Gumps his first year which was a huge win and Ole Piss this year. Am I missing anything?
