I've actually said a few times, when watching Burrow play he reminds me a lot of Russell Wilson. Go look at that clip of him escaping the pocket and making that throw down field to Jefferson against Georgia, and it screams Russell Wilson.

They all can extend plays when the called play breaks down due to good defense/pass rush.
Tarkenton, Manning (Archie), Elway, Young, Favre, Wilson, Mahomes are all similar in that regard. Burrow is potentially the same.

Wilson is a good comparison. He reminds me more of Deshaun Watson. Similar build, athleticism, and arm strength. I think Watson may be slightly more athletic, but Burrow will be a better decision maker.

I think this will be the difference between Burrow and Brennan. I have no doubt Brennan will be a very good QB, especially when he has excellent protection and manageable situations. However when the plays breaks down (3rd and 17, scramble vs Georgia) will he be able to make the play.

great video. totally agree about when the play breaks down ole Joe was clutch. That precentage completed passes under pressure
