Will be a successful pro IMO. Will not be a first round pick.

There hasn’t been a 1st rd pick RB 5’7” or shorter in at least 21yrs.

Prob dates back further

He won’t be a first round pick but not because of his height.

His vision, instincts and lateral quickness are off the charts good. He’s three steps ahead of the defender when setting up a move and just makes plenty of great players look stupid.

He’ll never be the guy who scares you with the “home run” threat. But he will frustrate you beyond reason if you are a fan of the opposing team. Countless defenders will be in perfect position to stop him and just flat can’t.

If he were 5’10” 215 there certainly would be more of a probability

No... he’s the same height as D’andre swift, his problem is long speed not height

Brett Kolman makes the absolute best videos on YouTube, and he has always given LSU a lot of love. He only makes a handful of these scouting reports every draft season, and there’s usually at least 1, sometimes more on LSU players. In the last few years he’s done Fournette, Jamal, Tre White, Devin White and now burrow & Clyde.

Great video.

Clyde will be successful, very successful, with an offense that uses his skill set well.

The film didn’t credit his pass blocking skill enough. He’s very good at that.

His fournette video is an all-time favorite. I think he he said someone along the lines that lf7 is one of the best prospects he's ever seen with Andrew luck

They're probably somewhat related - Trindon had to take so many more steps than his 5'10" to 6'1" (and in most cases about the same weight) track competitors.

But, you're right - if Clyde had a little better top end speed, his upside would shoot up. Having said that, he is a great Swiss Army knife - a great pass blocker and receiver, excellent hands for a back, out of the backfield, with good vision and toughness to run either inside or outside. Makes yards with pure effort.

I loved Kollmann's analogy, he can do everything Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara can do

Yeah I agree with that, I wouldn’t even say Kamara has one specific trait that sets him apart (maybe balance), similar to Helaire. They just put it together so well and are just great football players rather than great running backs

Clyde can move dem chains, get in the end zone, and doesn't fumble. That's all I need. But it's his heart that makes me love him as a football player.

I hope I’m wrong but I just don’t see him being successful in the NFL. NFL is a whole ‘nother level and a 5’7 guy can’t be an every down back. If he had Sproles type speed I could see him having a solid career. The 4.6 forty hurts but his 39.5 vertical shows his explosiveness. He’ll have a few years as a special teamer. Give me Jonathan Taylor all day. Downvotes here we come

What's the difference how tall a rb is. I can only think of ways it would be better to be short, not worse.
