Per a relative of MB15, he’ll be playing Saturday and says that he’ll have to be carted off the field before he misses another one.

Yeah, that dude’s not releasing his grip on the starting job and I really respect that.

Hope he doesn't play if he's not close to 100%. It'll hurt more than help both him and team.

Regardless of your opinion on who should start, at least we know that if Brennan is injured or plays terribly we have at least one highly capable backup.

Yep until it becomes detrimental to the team.

I respect the hell out of him for touching it out in the Mizzou game but if he isn't 100% then he needs to heal.

LSU has a more than capable replacement in TJ thst there is no need to out him in if he isn't healed up.

Hopefully O doesn't do like he did with Fournette against Florida and allow the player to call the shots and potentially hurt the team

Well because a substantial amount of people on this board are ready to anoint Finley as the starter because he played well against a bad team.

I hope they learned from the SC game that you can really help a QB out by trying to establish a running game. Myles has had the offense mostly put on his shoulders.

I think we can beat Auburn with Finley but I don’t expect to beat them with Brennan. He doesn’t seem calm and lacks the “it” factor and is not clutch.

If true (big "IF"), then I certainly understand and appreciate his desire to play. Not only would you expect him to want to do so as a competitor, but as a guy who doesn't want to lose his job. Particularly after waiting 3 years to get it.

That said, it is O's job to do what is best for the TEAM. If Brennan is physically limited to a point where it could really hurt the team, then you absolutely don't want to waste a week of practice with him getting 75% of the reps (if not more). Particularly with a true freshman who needs all the reps he can get.

I don't care if he announces it to the media at any point prior to the game. But O needs to decide by today or tomorrow who his starting QB is for this week and conduct game prep accordingly. It would be stupid to waste 3-4 days of prep on a limited Brennan that could have been used to get Finley ready.

This isn't the first time I've heard "someone close to Myles says he's playing Saturday." Not doubting anyone, but then on the other side you hear people I trust say there's no way he plays this week. I tend to side with that second group.

Nope. Finley is going to be the star.
