Would be hard for him to come in at Arkansas with 30 degree weather and throw the ball. I feel like if that happens and he doesn't perform will due to that type of weather, fans are going to jump ship on him. I'm more excited to see him vs rice.

The last thing O needs is a quarterback controversy. Playing Brennan will just lead to ignorant fans calling for him to start.

For some reason, he is in Orgeron’s dog house otherwise he would have played at least one snap this year.

Or...Orgeron knows the redshirt rules better than you do.

I hate to say this, I really do. But if Burrow struggles then it’s time to see Brennan.

6 TDs and 4 Ints isn’t going to cut it.
Yeah, the net results are poor. And I agree with most, get Brennen significant time.

But on the list of things to point to regarding those net results Burrow is a ways down on them.

The QB always shoulders some responsibility; they are judged by wins/losses, especially in big/critical games. But this time we can't point to the QB first and foremost.

He is redshirting, outside of injury no chance of him playing until these finally 4. Dont understand the "Finally" getting playing time crowd.

He needs to put on at least 30 pounds of solid muscle. He's going to get hurt with that golfer physique he has now.

Is he lazy in the weight room? He's only put on 7 pounds since high school.

He needs to do the math. Even a back-up NFL QB will make 5 or 10 million in a 5 year career. If Miles does 10 solid hours of weights a week for the next 3 years, that's $3333 per hour for working out.

He'll never make the pros with that high school build.

But back to the OP's question, I hope he does get some playing time. Nothing will get a guy serious about the weights faster than getting clobbered by grown men under live fire conditions.

There are a lot of assumptions that would go into thinking he'll play at this point.

I wouldn't assume Arkansas will roll over for us.

I don’t think there is a magic number for his weight. Yes, we’d prefer him to be 200+., but, on the other hand, there are a lot of DBs and WRs who weigh less than 180-190 and are tough as nails.

There are always exceptions, but 6' 5" 187 will put him in the "suspect" rather than "prospect" NFL draft files.

If we don't get him some meaningful reps on the road against Arkansas and A&M, shame on us.

You realize we are trying to win out and make the best bowl game possible right? Burrow needs all the reps he can get

The way our line played I’d rather not risk another quarterbacks life.

He’s probably still skinny, slow and will turn it over. But sure let’s keep putting our chips in on this kid.

Do you realize how incredibly hard it is to gain muscle mass in a short time without using enhancers? With his frame, the 7 or so he has put on since he's been at LSU is no small feat. Maybe the guy's physiology isn't conducive to gaining muscle mass? Maybe he is just a "late bloomer" in regards to the natural testosterone needed to put on mass and add strength and he'll start seeing significant results soon? Or maybe he needs the Cochran method?

Why cant is just be that he is naturally ectomorphic as opposed to mesomorphic?

I do like your hypothesis though.

Coach O talked about putting him in for the Ole Miss game but Brennan wanted to save his games in case Burrow got hurt

Plausible. Brennan seems to fit the description of an ectomorph. Does Moffitt's S&C program cater to different body types or is it the same for the entire team? Perhaps his diet isn't right for him. There are far too many variables to consider as a person unaware of his particular circumstance and training/nutritional history to make some definitive statement on what it will take for Brennan to put on sufficient mass.

I'd love to see if Brennan looks more comfortable. But LSU coaches, both Les & Ed are not into letting a QB develop with real playing time.
