Competition breeds success. This battle will force one of these guys to step up their game and make them both better QBs. Regardless of who wins the starting job, it's a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that LSU is stacked at the QB position now and for the foreseeable future.

Clips of head-to-head deep balls at practice yesterday:

Brennan can throw it further than Burrow. Max will be the better qb.

I mean if we are solely going on arm strength TJ should start.

Brennan’s throw was better

Away from where the defender would be

Max’s pass drifted towards the field

For what it’s worth, his reads and release are about 2/10 of a second slower than Joe Burrow.

Too bad he can’t hit a RB in stride from 5 yards away

Mr. skinny fat is always going to look better on deep throws with no rush in his face. Max has the poise to make a play in crucial downs at the end of games. Can’t teach that

Max’s dad Brad didn’t have the best arm. He was an athlete (FSU basketball player) , he was smart, managed the game and won games in the NFL.

Better arm Brees or Joe Flacco?
Better arm Peyton Manning or Jay Cutler?
Better arm Cam Bewton or Russell Wilson?
