There’s a reason he’s not playing more…..

Ashton Larson should lead off the first inning and be penciled in as the starting third baseman.

I would like to see Larson get some AB’s too but I’m pretty sure he throws lefty so he won’t play 3b.

Pretty sure LSU will be the home team. Higher seed.

His comment is based on the Tigers being the “away” team, that Larson could bat without taking the field at third. Then, put Brass in.

To I don't know but Braswell is terrible at bat.

Apparently it will be a rightly for UCLA on Monday.

That is the only way we see Reaves; I am not sure we will anyway. And that is probably the right call in a stadium where the prevailing winds keep any marginal balls in the field of play and every fielding mistake is magnified.

When we head to the field he gets replaced by Michael braswell.

Several things wrong with this. Lawson would have to play third in the top of the first, third base would have to move to the top three in the order so that Lawson doesn’t have to play another half inning at third, and you lose the ability to pinch hit Lawson in an important late game situation.

With Braswell and Jones that is at least 8 out of the 27 outs guaranteed. There has to be someone else who can play third base

It’ll be Braswell

No it’s not. It could happen, and did happen last night, but it’s very likely that these two will produce some offense, and it’s very likely they will provide excellent defense.

I trust a fart after the flue more than I trust Braswell at the plate.

Braswell - 1000%

His defense is too good and UCLA is a small ball team with a great pen. Reaves has shown some good pop but he's not a high average guy and his nowhere near Braswells defense.

If you get into a situation later on though where you have guys on base late and need a swing then Braswell is candidate #1 to be pinch hit for.

Frey is for sure going to start at DH. He played his best when we needed him the most in a potential season ending game vs Little Rock. He's had a tough last 3 games but only struck out 3 times. He's too good to bench. If he has a couple of bad ABs maybe you see a PH but Jay is going to start Ethan

You’re playing a small ball team that is going to put pressure on your corner infielders. We need defense at those positions. If Eyanson has his normal outing we just need to not make errors. We will have enough offense to win. And if it isn’t working out that way we can pinch hit for Braswell.

We don’t “need” Braswell as bat. Keep his defense in the lineup at this point

Braswell plays exceptionally defense and is probably the best bunter on the team, that plays really well in a pitchers park like the chuck.

I could be wrong, but I think Frey’s last hit was 2 weeks ago vs Little Rock

This question about 3B is a good one. The problem is not going from the light hitting Braswell to reaves, but the reverse: if reaves kicks it around in a tight game to the point that he needs to sit then do you go John Pearson or stick with a faulty glove in reaves or insert Braswell who only fixes the defense
