So the question remains, when does he get the starting spot this year, or even will he?

He produced more offense in 3 drives than Jennings did all game, granted Jennings dealt with some drops, the offense is just completely out of sync under him. We cant throw go routes all game long every game. You just have to cut your losses at this point and look to the future, get the freshman the reps.

THIS... it's completely dysfunctional when he's in.

Does he play on defense?

I agree. He is the future. He will get the nod to start his junior season after Jennings graduates. Until then we are stuck with JJ 2.0

I know one thing for sure. Jennings' passes take a long time to get there. When he throws to a RB or WR out in the flat that ball just floats. This gives the defense time to react and close in on the play. With the speed in the SEC that will not fly.

I absolutely refuse to believe Miles will do what makes sense.

Can he play on the defensive side of the ball, too?

The secondary was disappointing last night, but the sooner Welter sees the bench the better the defense will become. It'll be sickening to my stomach if he trots back out there again for any significant playing time. He is AWFUL.

But you cant entirely blame the defense when the offense under Jennings scores their first TD with 12:34 left in the GAME.

This could have been an entirely different game last night had we probably just came out with a different DEMEANOR on offense like we did against SHSU trying to get up early. But no, Les had to get his way and we threw away the first possession and played catchup the rest of the night. Conservative football is done in CFB, it's about scoring points now and you have to be aggressive.

Did Harris look good? Yes. But why doesn't anyone ever mention that he did what he did against State's backups. I think Harris is the future but let's not crown him after watching him vs backups.

Kenny young or Blake sims could be starting for LSU and they would look terrible under this offense

MSU had plenty of starters in, and the fact remains the OFFENSE was moving the ball, bottom line.

Geez this is stupid. Do you really think the State scrubs were in on his last two drives?

Adams did solid but jefferson is too small to play safety. He was run over at least twice last night

Harris throws a really pretty ball, and I don't care if he was in against 2nd string and/or prevent defense. He was confident in his throws and his reads. I said in another thread, but that 20-ish yard strike to Dural on the play right before the hail mary was a thing of beauty. He dropped it in there perfectly.
