He seems to really want to be back in Baton Rouge, but wanted to know if he was recruited by LSU and just wanted to leave at that time for OU.

Just curious

Yes, but before Kevin Faulk, none of the blue chippers ever committed to LSU.

Miami, Florida, Oklahoma... all pulled from Louisiana.

He’s younger than Faulk.

And was he a blue chip prospect? He would have been recruited to Oklahoma before Stoops got there.

Brad Davis is 4 or 5 years younger than Kevin Faulk.

I don’t think he was recruited by LSU. OU had 5 straight .500 or worse seasons leading up to the year he was recruited. Bob Stoops turned it around quickly.

The Rant didn't start until 2003 or so.

When I first heard his name announced, I was thinking it was our former player who caught the past from Bert Jones to Beat Ole Miss with one second to go.

Uh. Fail.

I could cite many. In my personal experience, I’ll begin with Parade All-American Harvey Williams and end with Rovelroe Swan (the only true freshman ever voted 1st Team Pre-Season All-SEC).

Prior to 1990, LSU had quit a bit of success with highly recruited talent.

I, myself, turned down many schools including mighty Alabama. While stars weren’t a thing back then, Tom Lemming and Max Emfinger did cover the scene somewhat. I was recognized in both......

Just sayin’

He was a freshman on the 1999 Oklahoma team that won the National Title. Coached by Stoops

Redshirt freshman in 99. Freshman in 98 and would have been signed by Coach Blake. 99 was Stoops first year and they won the title in 2000.

I will say that this is a big improvement from Cregg who just was a lackluster OLine coach. Davis hopefully will finally get the LSU Oline playing like people been expecting them to play.

Brad Davis caught a PASS from Bert Jones with 4 SECONDS left to go. (Hence, the "You are now entering Louisiana, turn your clocks back 4 Seconds" signs at the Mississippi border locations right before crossing into Louisiana.......

Davis caught the pass as time expired. There was 1 second on the clock when it was snapped. 4 seconds on the clock when it was snapped on the previous play, an incomplete pass.
