Im sitting in my car right outside the stadium watching the radar and the rain. I'm going to go ahead and call it. NCAA Regional Baseball games at Alex Box aren't happening today. I'm going to the house.

I've never seen a rain delayed game start at the announced "earliest possible time". That's the biggest cock tease term ever invented.

Too much atmospheric instability. Warm temperatures at the surface and the advection of colder temperatuares at the 500-700 millibar level. Upper Low over Texas is stationary, ergo, bands of showers and storms are training over the same locations.
Losing daytime heating will help stabilize the atmosphere to a certain point. I believe a 6-8 pm start is likely tonight.
