Bain and Reynolds both have almost an entire run higher ERA than Norman. Both also have allowed more hits and more earned runs than Norman all in around the same amount of innings pitched.
I don't need to have my own hindsight proposal. No way in hell I could make a more informed decision than Mainieri and Dunn.

Against better competition. Those are your guys. Why not use guys that have been in that situation all year? Was manieiri trying to fool rice with a pitcher they didn't see much on film or was he saving the other guys for tomorrow? Doesn't matter. It didn't work.
