I see fans bitching about Max, Damone, Neil, etc....

But really if it isn't a playoff game does it actually matter in the end?

Don't you want young guys getting experience if players aren't coming back or not playing?

Seems frivolous to get upset over who is and isn't playing.

Matters to me. I love football and want to watch the best players play, not the 3rd string and walkons ive never heard of.

With out fans none of those guys would have an opportunity to play at the next level.

If they don’t want to be here and be part of the TEAM, I don’t want to see a quitter anyway. Let the future stars get started and get some playing time.

LSU hasn’t had a losing season in 22 years. Losing the bowl game would end that streak. Yes, it fricking matters.

I agree, they are exhibitions. The games shouldn't be counted toward stats career, individual, team or season. It also shouldn't be counted as far as redshirt or anything else. They should be treated no different than practice.

After the first three losses there was no shot at playoffs. Why would they risk an injury beyond that point? Surely not to try to make some shitty bowl game.

Texas Bowl is an opportunity to see the Tigers. It will be good watching the motivated Tigers play and show the new coach what they can do….win or lose….Geaux Tigahs……Deculous played at Cy-Fair High so no opt out for him!!!

Do Season Openers matter?

What about the Third non conference game of the Season?

Do playoff games really matter?

It won’t be long before players are opting out of playoff games.

I will always cherish that I was there to witness the greatness of College Football before They killed it.

Now just another business.

What difference does any college football game make?

They all have the same justification. The school gave the players a scholarship to play football. They housed them and fed them and tutored them. They should play in every game they are asked to play in and aren't injured for, within reason. 14 games a year is reasonable.

Nope. Watch games on tv and turn off if you don’t like the product. Simple

I care about every game. Of course I want LSU to win championships but that doesn’t mean I’m too good to care about the Texas bowl. Some of you people are so entitled it’s absurd. You forget where LSU was pre Saban? Be grateful you pricks.

College football as a whole thinking like this is exactly why these players are opting out.

For the record, I don’t really care if they play or not for a bowl game. I do have a slight issue when it happens during the regular season.

Bowl games have been around forever and they always seemed to matter up until a few years ago. Now, suddenly, if it’s not the CFP then bowl games are “irrelevant”. The agent/NFL/NIL brainwash has completely taken the spirit away from what made college football great.

You’re a mamby pamby retard. It’s a commitment and they’re on scholarship. College football is a 12 game season not a “if we lose 2-3 games then I’m sitting out” decision. It’s gonna get to the point where these entitled pussies say “why am I gonna risk millions for a championship ring?” The red carpet has been laid out and made it ok to be a quitter. The NFL millionaire club has been around forever and so has college football without all of this pussy arse “opting out”.

There are only 2 solutions and really even the 2nd one is kinda dumb:
1. Move bowl games to week 1 and base them on last seasons performance.
2. Determine the 4 playoff teams after the bowl games
