SEC Heisman Winners

Posted by LSUby6 on 8/13/26 at 7:57 am
How do other SEC schools deal with Heisman "winners" football numbers?

Some past winners and if anyone is wearing their Football numbers:

Danny Wuerffel - 1996 #7 - Currently being worn by player.

Tim Tebow - 2007 #15 - Currently being worn by player.

Mark Ingram Jr. 2009 #22 - 2009 - Currently being worn by player.

Cam Newton - 2010 #2 - 2010 - Not in circulation.

Johnny Manziel - 2012 #2 - Currently being worn by player.

Derrick Henry - 2015 #2 - Currently being worn by player.

Joe Burrow - 2019 #9 - Not in circulation.

Devonta Smith - 2020 #6 - Currently being worn by player.

Bryce Young - 2021 #9 - Currently being worn by player.

If LSU has "disrespected" Daniels by letting someone else wear #5....there is some serious DISRESPECT going on in the SEC.

As bad as we think we have been recently. Tiger Stadium is still a very tough place to win.

Kelly was an astounding 26-3 at home in 4 seasons. Now on the road we were flat out abysmal.

I know that we will be much improved on the road...hopefully Lane can continue to hold serve at home.
I know that Les Miles is a great Punchline...dude Coached in the National Championship as an undefeated team a short 7 seasons after Nick Saban left.

I'm sure that Ole Miss would kill to have that kind of carry over.
I am impressed it takes more Faith to be an Atheist than it does to believe in a Creator.

Believing in God isn't anything special. Even the demons believe.

You will meet him...we all will.
Blue Jay sure is working hard to convince us how great his life is.

Tell us again Uncle Jay about the money and strip clubs…it all sounds so magical.
The Complexity of the Creation demands a Creator.

Don’t fall for Religion.

Seek the Truth and have a real relationship with the Creator.
The home field advantage died years ago.

The new tradition is leaving early.

It all starts with the Student Section. It starts emptying out around the 3rd quarter. The students have to leave to get to all of the Parties that start at 8:30.

The “on the field product” argument doesn’t hold water. If the Tigers didn’t turn it over and scored TD’s on every possession…those same people would leave because they ain’t staying for No blowout.

People don’t have the attention spans to watch a Football game for 3 hours anymore.
It was the First thing he Hit all year.
I was hopeful the Offense would be “fixed” going into the season.

We hopefully would be able to run the ball and have some balance.

Now we can’t run block, and we can’t protect.

It is hilarious to think they can fix in two weeks…what they couldn’t change in 9 months.

We are what we are, and this season is the beginning of the END for Kelly.

Do you think there is any team in the Nation that would be favored against Clemson this weekend?

I guess I was just trying to put into perspective how tough this game will be.

Most of the media don't think LSU can WIN this weekend.

Hopefully the Coaches will have them ready to play.

Who can beat Clemson?

Posted by LSUby6 on 8/28/25 at 10:40 am
What Teams do you think could definitely beat Clemson this Saturday?

If you had to name one team that could absolutely...without question...go into Clemson and win this Saturday who would that be?
Despite everything the media has said....Clemson does NOT have a Dominant defense...they have some good pieces.

I expect a few hiccups with our new faces, but it will look a lot like the bowl game.

OL will be fine.

It will come down to execution in the red zone, and limiting them to Field goals.
I think what the Original Poster is saying...is that Clemson could have a really good Defense this year....but they didn't have a really good defense last year.

And this great Defensive Line:

Clemson
2024 Total Sacks - 35 sacks in 14 games
2024 Total TFL - 6.9 per game
Parker - 11 sacks

LSU
2024 Total Sacks - 34 sacks in 13 games
2024 Total TFL - 5.2 per game
Swinson - 8.5 sacks

They might have a great collection of talent, but the numbers don't WOW you.

re: Nuss Update - patella tendinitis

Posted by LSUby6 on 8/8/25 at 12:53 pm to
“It’s worse than they’re saying”

“He won’t finish the season”

I can’t tell if people are serious or if we have that many retards in our fan base.

Nuss had knee surgery at the end of 2023 season. Whenever he reaggravates it…he ends up with Tendinitis.

I’m sure he played with it last season.

They all play with pain they’re football players.

The CATASTROPHE SYNDROME IS ALIVE!

I’ve got to find another board to follow.
There are way too many people that are overreacting. The Catastrophe syndrome is alive and well.

They have had six practices and ONE in Full pads. They are constantly shuffling the line...trying to find the best combination. Of course they're going to have issues with all of the moving around.

The Defense is obviously ahead of the Offense at this point.

Here was the Offensive line in the bowl game:

Adams
Mubenga
Chester
Bordelon
Frazier

After the First drive they Subbed in Echols for Bordelon.

They had Bowl practices to get ready to play with two new Tackles.

They passed for 313 yards with no sacks and Ran for 114 yards. They also won the game 44-31 against a decent Dave Aranda defense.

re: 1st team Offensive Line

Anderson was held out of 7 on 7 because he is in the concussion protocol from the car accident.

It has nothing to do with last season's injury.
We “appear” to be better on paper, but even with a veteran offensive line we weren’t consistent on offense last year.

It will be too big of a leap on offense and defense to make a difference in our record from last year.

No way they beat Clemson in week one. We haven’t beaten a team that talented since Kelly has been here.

We will lose 3-4 regular season games, and it will be the beginning of the end for Kelly.
Just tackle him at the line of scrimmage.
