Or he might need a raise and threaten to quit again…
Or maybe. Just maybe trace back and think about the time period he was rumored to transfer. The kid was in the early stages of finding out he was going to be a father.
He had people in his ear from Bama telling him they will take care of his child and family financially if he comes to Bama.
It actually makes more sense. Dude knew he had value with NIL and wanted to be set up for being a father. You know the responsible thing to do as a Dad. Set yourself up best financially for your child.
Again. Cancel your internet service. You either don’t have kids or you are a terrible parent.

Good for him, family is more important than anything we witness on the gridiron. I would give up a lifetime of LSU football to be able to spend the last week or night of our life together with my deceased wife.

He has NIL deals at LSU. If his gf was being induced on Saturday, I'd understand. But if she truly gave birth yesterday, then missing the game is lame.

No matter if it's New dad/first child or any other reason:
If the child has been born already you have to wonder about KB's desire to play football.
If he wanted to play in a home game on Saturday, a Thursday night birth would not prevent it.

Bad business decision to get your girlfriend pregnant.
Bad business decision to skip this weeks game in a season where youve been struggling.
NFL teams will surely use this against him in negotiations.
Hopefully his combine performance will be strong...hopefully he can get hot down the stretch and show up in the big games ahead.

I don't think the mother's OBGYN is going to schedule an induction based on the LSU football schedule
LSU fans are fricking amazing sometimes.

I watched Peter Burns this morning on SECN describe LSU fans as, and I'm paraphrasing, "losing their mind" over this. I thought to myself there is NO WAY anyone is even close to bothered by this. It's New Mexico week, not Tennessee. It's the kind of thing you'd quit a job over if you couldn't get time off to be with your newborn, so why shouldn't he take a game of for this? While he is wrong for inferring that a lot of LSU fans are upset about this, I am surprised to see as many as I do.
This is coming from a guy (me) who isn't KB's biggest fan after the transfer threat.

He is not mature enough to NOT have a baby out of wedlock. No wonder the country is suffering

Forest trees. He only got said deals because Bama offered first and Gordon stepped up.
And wow are you serious? You only get the first week in your child’s life one time. Those moments are gone forever if you miss them. They are special and you think he should miss Those moments for a game? Against New Mexico? Your life priorities are clinically insane.

could've been me is pervasive for posters in this thread. And yes, it's just UNM, but he should still play.

This is literally insane. You have an unhealthy obsession with LSU football.

It's just an opinion on whether a player should play in a local game 2 days after his hopefully healthy child is born. It's not the end of the world if he doesn't. I find it odd that you're so emotional over the issue.

How do you know where exactly his child is being born? Boutte doesn't have his personal life plastered all over social media, so who's to say the mother is giving birth in Baton Rouge?
