His kid wasn't born on a Wednesday. From the looks of his instagram
Interesting pics on that IG. Notice the hand placement! Lol.
Congrats to Boutte on the birth.

Would you leave your newborn to go play candy crush?

Having been a new parent a couple of years ago, I couldn't imagine being there for the birth and then just leaving to go play in a football game. I stayed there in the hospital with my wife for the next two days until she was released to go home.
In your case it's obvious that - just like any normal day - your wife did not allow you to go anywhere for those 2 days.
Playing in that football game is the young man's job at this point in his life - the key to providing future quality of life for the family he's started.
With the natural high from becoming a parent for the first time, it seems like he'd be excited to get out there and perform.

Either way, if all is healthy why would he not play on Saturday? That’s two days with baby and mom, and then her mother could stay with her for the few hours he goes to practice and the game. It’s strange
Saturday would be an all day thing.
Assuming they will be discharged by then, he probably wants to help get her and the baby home and settled in.
If not discharged, he probably wants to stay with them in the hospital.
Both are very reasonable & mature decisions.

Everyone’s different and circumstances are different. A guy on another team i support took a helicopter to join the team hours after his kid was born so he could play. This is a glorified bye week anyway so i don’t see why anyone is really concerned. He should be well rested for a road sec game next week

They are both games right?

Hells yeah. He’s gonna light it up!

Man I took off two weeks with the first child and a month with my second!! Nothing and I mean nothing was going to prevent me from being there and after seeing the birth of my child nothing was going to make me rush away
Yeah, I took a week completely off, then I went in the office for just a few hours a day for the next couple weeks.

Exactly! He needs to marry her and give the baby his last name. He should not be congratulated. Anyone can make a baby, but it takes are real man to be a father. Whatever happened to shame? At least he didn't use his NIL to pay for an abortion.

What deflection? This whole thread is about Boutte taking off a game for a childbirth

Or maybe I love my child and wanted to be there.
And maybe I also love my wife and also wanted to be there for her.

Not anymore
unless things have changed in the last 2 years, yes that's still the case

Baby will be out in 24-36 hours and so will mother unless it’s a c section that the doctor wants to monitor for the mother, but baby would still be discharged
my wife did not have a c section nor were there any complications. My daughter was born around 5 AM on a Tuesday, and we were released Friday morning.

Our most recent baby was born on Tuesday at 11am. We were discharged by 4pm on Wednesday
they typically treat first time parents differently. IIRC you have several kids

a football game is a multiple day affair. Just the game is an all day thing. It's not like he can just show up 20 minutes before kickoff, play, then leave right after.

Or maybe he has been doubled a lot and none of the receivers are getting the catches they should be getting at this point.

Is he mature enough to get married?
Posted on 9/23/22 at 2:45 pm to jbraua
Can't say I would like to have a child while still in college but I'm glad Boutte will be there for his baby and the baby's mother.
Congrats Boutte!
