However, I would assume this is a scheduled delivery. Why would one schedule a delivery on a friday or saturday during football season when you are suppose to be a key member of the team? There was likely at least a 7 day window to schedule this, at least. This really isn't adding up.

The baby was born yesterday.

The things people on this board get mad about never cease to amaze me. The birth of a child is a big deal. It’s reasonable to miss a commitment or two for the occasion. Take a deep breath

Every big company these days gives you paid paternity leave for at least 4 weeks after a child’s birth.

Playing for Boutte Jr now

Not sure why anyone is so sure this kid will be a Boutte. They're not married.

They've already said the baby's name is Kylan Kruz Boutte.

A little unusual. But, good on him for being there when his child is born.

If it was the Bama week, I'm sure there would have been more discussion about him playing. The starters probably won't play much past halftime Saturday. Kelly being so cool about the whole thing is showing his players (and recruits) that he cares about them as people and cares about their personal lives. Nothing bad about this at all.

I'll cut him some slack here, but wouldn't surprise me if Boutte opts out at some point.

Glad his priorities are in line choosing the birth of his child over a game.

Could be further in line with getting married before having children.

Let’s not pretend this is the first issue with boutte not showing up or giving 100%

It’s a pattern at this point

I am the most pro traditional value person you could imagine. I agree completely. However none of us are perfect. I cannot judge the motives of someone I literally don't know. If it were me, I would for sure encourage them to marry now.

However having first hand knowledge of the average hospital mother baby floor and just how bad the problem is. I'm happy he is there and present, that is rare in this age. Trust me.

Literally cancel your internet service. The internet would be better off without your stupidity.

This is a perfect opportunity Boutte to score an NIL deal with Enfamil or Pampers.

I live in the real world and have taken off to be there for the birth of my child. Had to reset a hearing in fact. And guess what? The “real world” understood, didn’t care, and said congratulations.
Recording Judge Judy instead if watching live is not considered a major work/life sacrifice.

You don’t have to white knight for boutte man. Just call a spade a spade and move on.
