You know...maybe he should take the time to marry the woman...so we don't have "just another black fatherless child". Take responsibility.

Hell, Hunter Mahan withdrew from a golf tournament he was leading (with a $1 million purse for 1st place) to be there for the birth of his child.
Those of us who need money are ok with the birth and then go to work. The woke Pete buttigige people of the world with the NEED to be watching the baby and mom for a month have no working man morals.

Here here! All this is ridiculous. Slap some antibiotic ointment on her vagina and everyone get on with their day

Seems like he’s off to a decent start, being there for the child’s birth and missing a game

Marriage is not necessary to be a father, old man, as millions of CoD know. He’s there, that’s what matters.

He’s been open all season. Did you just wake up from a coma? They are all getting open. Wide arse open.

She must’ve gone to the hospital Wednesday, He probably missed practice yesterday and possibly Wednesday, isn’t practicing today, not to mention we’re loaded at wr and it’s New Mexico. He’s also a few months removed from multiple surgeries. Not a big deal to give him a weekend off and not hard to figure out why.
All of this.
And to add - he may not have known exactly when the baby was going to be born when he made the decision not to play. For all we know she was scheduled to be induced Friday and the baby came a day early.
There’s a lot more to playing in the game than showing up at Tiger Stadium before kickoff. I’m sure he hasn’t participated in practice since Wednesday, maybe Monday or Tuesday depending on the circumstances. That means he hasn’t been involved in the game prep.
I’m sure he wasn’t part of the walk through. I’m sure he isn’t staying at the team hotel tonight.
It’s not just a few hours for a game. It’s hours every day and then pretty much a full time commitment from Friday afternoon until the game ends Saturday night. Could the coaches let him skip the hotel and join the team on game day? Sure, but that’s a distraction - and an unnecessary one at that.
And then on top of that, he’s likely operating on limited sleep if he stayed at the hospital with the mother. That’s a recipe for poor performance, but also a recipe for injury. In a mid-season non-conference game.
Are there guys who would have chosen to play? Sure. There are also plenty of great players who would do the exact same thing in his position. There’s not a right or wrong decision here.

With the number of children players have I'm surprised LSU doesn't offer childcare as a fringe benefit in the practice facility.

Bro, this is an LSU fan message board. Why don't you take that hateful shite somewhere else.

Has Boutte really played at all this year tho?

2nd in receptions, 3rd in yards. So to answer your question, yes.

He may always be there. No one knows. I don’t think you would argue against it being a lot easier to leave when you’re not married, would you?

I think you mean ethics.
It’s a shame that not everyone has your value system, with your self righteousness and all.

I am glad the young man and his lady friend choose life.

He’s been open a ton on crossing routes and slants. Those happen to be where he kills defenses. Of course that would mean a QB would have to read a defense and actually want to throw the ball across the middle of the field. LSU currently uses a QB who does neither of those, so there’s a reason Boutte hasn’t gotten the same opportunities. The only time Daniels targets him is on a sideline route. He ends up air mailing it and Brian Kelly chews his arse for it. It is what it is, but don’t say Boutte isn’t open.

You obviously do not watch the games very closely...
KB is second on the team in catches and 3rd in yards. None of these guys are setting the world on fire. JD is 12th in the conf in yds/PA. He is struggling passing the ball downfield. KB lines up mostly at outside and is not getting many targets. He has caught most of his balls on short routes and screens.
