It’s not? Then why did he come back? At worst he was going 2nd round this year. That’s still damn good money and if he is as good as we think he is, it would t be long he’d be making really big money. Receivers can play a long time in the NFL. He had to know at the very least it was a good chance JD was coming back. It’s insane to assume he wasn’t aware of the likelihood (which is exactly what you are doing).

He’s a RS Fresh who has barely played.
He has 3 Tds to 3 Ints this season and 2 each last. So in very limited reps he has 5 TDs and 5 Ints. I would not say that he has thrown more ints than TDs.
I’m not even upset at the 1 INT vs Georgia, because we were trailing so bad he had to take shots like that.
I think he could improve tremendously with more reps. Maybe not though. Yet to be determined.
If I was a receiver I’d rather a slinger. Give me 4 tds with 2 ints
Over 0 or 1 passing tds and 0 ints.
I’m not in this thread to argue QBs, but I will defend Nuss a little due to his limited playing time and when I see incorrect stats.

Ok, we can have a conversation. We don’t have a QB that only gave 0 or 1 passing TD to our receivers. I’m in no way saying JD is a great passing QB. He’s not. He’s average at passing but he protects the ball and has the ability to run well. There is something to be said about a QB like that and he doesn’t deserve the hate he gets for it.
Nuss can flat out chunk the frick out of the ball. He’s got a rocket for an arm and is at least serviceably athletic. But from what we have seen, he does have a turnover problem. Can he grow out of that? Sure. It’s possible. But that’s what practice is for. To show that you can do better. Maybe he’s just not showing improvement in practice. Maybe he still tries to force plays he shouldn’t. Maybe the coaches see that and think it’s more detrimental to the team currently than JDs lack of throwing. These are things we as fans who are not around the program 24/7 just don’t know.
I’m going to trust this coaching staff that they know who is the best options to start until I have definitive proof not too. Hell, I trusted that moron Ed O to start the best players we had, he just proved he couldn’t constantly hire good coaches to keep the program running. That’s why he was fired. If BK proves he isn’t able to do what’s best for the program, he should be fired too, but right now, given that we were picked to be next to part in the west and we ended up winning the west, I’m going to trust that he might just know what he’s doing.

I think these are two different issues. Based on comments Boutte made early in fall practice he likes Nuss and probably knows he would have better numbers with Nuss starting. But JD starting isn’t the reason Boutte isn’t playing in bowl game.

How has he lost 20 to 25 million? He could have gone to the NFL this year where he was still projected as possibly a first round pick. At worst early second round. He still would have gotten close to 10 million as an early second round pick.
It’s not like Bryce Young had a great season at Bama either. It was good but nothing like last year. Their Oline just wasn’t that great this year. The only difference is he probably would have been guaranteed first round draft this year at Bama instead of most likely still a first round pick like he was this year but even then you can’t say definitively that this would have happened. You can’t rewind time, have him transfer, and watch the season play out. All you can do is speculate what “might have happened”. It’s also possible that he could have suffered a career ending injury had he transferred and never made another dime off football. My “what if” is just as likely to have occurred as your.
