He wasn't even on the field in crunch time in the 2nd half in 2-3 receiver sets.

This probably has to do with the drops

85 total passing yards should never happen, no matter how many rushing yards you have. Especially against a team like Auburn.

Auburn doesn’t have that bad of a Defense.

Because they are not expecting the ball. Daniels has a difficult time reading coverages and our plays have limited WR sets and long developing. Nobody is happy with this style of offense.

This is the most BS I’ve ever heard lol

The Oline is average at best and he’s playing with the QB’s he has. How can you make a statement like this ? Based on half a season.

JD sucks as a qb.

It’s something that needs to be addressed… a lot of people just keep digging into the passing game. Let’s give the run game some credit, we are really doing this well especially inside the 10.

Serious question…does he have more drops than catches?

I would think it’s pretty damn close

still a better coach than Jimbo!

That is a low, low bar.

They’re the two most overpaid overrated coaches in the country. Wonder what they have in common…

Bringing in Woodward was the worst possible move the university could have made.

They don’t need to catch passes to get the ball in their hands. Boutte’s 2 jet seeeps have gone for an average of 28 ypc, JDs ypc almost doubles on designed runs compared to scrambling. We should be a run first team anyway and can be if we get creative and use everyone in the run game.

Brian Kelly's expertise is Offense and we are struggling with that. The team's success is solely on Matt House. Brian Kelly is an outdated coach with an outdated offensive mindset.

Are you serious Clark? Our QB couldn't hit the side of a barn if he tried. I think maybe we should try Emery at QB and Daniels at running back. I can't imagine it would be any worse.

Now do how many drops Boutee has

Yeah lets compare JD's stats with his production the first three years of his college career.

Now compare Boutte's production this season vs the other two seasons.
Think about it, Boutte set the LSU single game receiving record, with Max Johnson as the QB. He had more yards in that game than he will get this season, unless there is a QB change.

He doesn’t have any more drops than Thomas or Taylor, who actually has more but he’s been marked as the scapegoat for the JD fanboys this season so this narrative is going to persist.

Amazing, best receiving group in the nation, and they all lost their ability to catch a pass at the same time.
What could it be? Must be COVID.

If you believe this you haven’t been watching the games. Some blame is definitely placed on Daniels, but the WR’s haven’t been good either. Definitely a super talented group, but they’ve disappointed so far.

Boutte, Bech, Nabers, and BTJ all spread out running routes is going to get someone open. You’d have to drop 8 to double everyone, in which case run the ball.

However many steps the play is, the ball has to come out on time. Tie his legs together in practice, blow the play dead if he holds it too long… JD has to be made to understand it’s either throw the ball or hit the bench.

I agree 100%. Daniels isn't going to change, so does that force Kelly to make a change at some point?

Only if Daniels continues to regress.

Regardless, Nuss is gonna be needed, because of JD's ineffective play or another injury. If the coaches don't get him ready, then they are asking for a world of hurt.

That’s just not going to happen. JD is what he is and there’s no sign he’s going to change. Kelly and Denbrock should’ve known this and altered the offense accordingly but 5 games in it doesn’t seem like they’re going to change a thing.

What they should have done was started the 6th year senior. The OL is pretty darn good now with Delly healthy. Brennan would be thriving.

Brennan quit because of health issues. He gave it a go but his body didn’t respond. What I don’t get is Kelly and Denbrock not knowing JDs obvious limitations because they were clearly there for 30 games at ASU and there’s been no change here. So once they knew he would be the QB why wasn’t the offense tailored to fit him?

If the rest of the season goes the way it is now, it most likely will. Guys will most likely transfer and possibly lose recruits with the lack of production from the WR group.
