Anyone who follows recruiting has heard big recruits commenting on how they view it as a negative when the home team boos their own players.
They got booed when they weren’t getting paid and we still managed.
It will be fine.

I guess even through living relatively close Underwood has never heard a Michigan player getting booed.
I bet if school increases the $ that negative goes away.

I learned how to control my emotions from the head coach!

If you’re going to boo our own players, stay home. Just be miserable by yourself. Makes me embarrassed to be associated with them.
I don't boo our team (or the other for that matter), but if it bothers you this much, maybe you should stay home rather than telling others to stay home.

At the game Saturday half the starting lineup was boo’d by a portion of our stupid entitled fans. People screaming at Nuss mid-play like they know what they’re talking about. Screaming at the defense for not getting pressure when Vandy is using quick game concepts. Just shut up and watch the game.
Dont know where you were sitting but I heard none of that. I did not hear the fire BK chant either but I was on the east side and the band was between me and the student section

Times have changed. Players are now receiving compensation, and those present at events are granted the right to express themselves freely.

This isn't pee wee football with moms and dads watching little kids on a Sunday afternoon. It is a multi BILLON dollar entertainment industry. One where the players are (now) afforded the opportunity to live some pretty lavish lifestyles relative to a lot of people.
Garrett nussmeier per sources is marking near or over $1 million and has next to zero expenses as a college athlete.
Many people in that stadium it will take grinding away for a lifetime and they still will not have that in the bank.
Posters in this thread clutch pearls that a 22 year old millionaire “kid” gets booed but don’t bat an eye about STTDB with ACTUAL kids around

The actual dumbest people are the people that think our fans are the only ones that act this way.
They're also the same ones who think LSU fans are the only people who leave games early.

Pros & cons of being a passionate adult fan of college sports. I lost most of it due to our brand of football (playing to our competition which created so many close losses to equal/better teams & close wins against lesser teams that it got exhausting) & just feeling stupid for being more hurt by losses than the kids who’re being paid to play. So I personally wouldn’t do it. But for the adults who aren’t there yet, yes they’re absolutely gonna boo this team. Especially the QB. He’s played awful football at times this season.

Don't show your arse and publicly boo the team that you root for!
If your displeasure extends to management then there are plenty of effective ways to show that behind the scenes.

Plenty of Cajuns in the stands. They tend to be overly emotional and on the lower side of the IQ spectrum. If you ever studied their history you will realize every location on the Atlantic seaboard expelled them until they landed in the mostly uninhabitable swamplands of S LA.
Salt of the earth people, but can take things to extremes at times without realizing the bigger picture.

Booing your own players team is classless

No it doesn’t. And I was more talking about the people that try to yell out instructions to the players during/after plays rather than the booing.
If this offends you that much it would probably be best if you never attend another live sporting event again. Fans shouting their displeasure, booing, yelling at the coaches/players as to what they should be doing has been going on, well, since the advent of fans attending sporting events...in every sport....everywhere

Singling yourself out to draw attention. A lot of yall can’t control your emotions. Pretty embarrassing
Cheering is an emotional response too. I think it's kind of weird watching two adult men high-fiving and chest bumping because some kids on the field made a good play, but I'm not going to say they shouldn't do it. They aren't "controlling their emotions" either. But because it's positive emotion the lack of control is ok?
What you are basically saying is fans should only have positive emotional responses and never express any negative emotional responses. That sounds great in make believe land. But if fans are emotionally invested enough to have positive responses, they are invested enough to have negative responses too. It's not always sunshine, candy and rainbows

But they can go somewhere else and not get booed for the same amount of money...Pros don't have that easy option. Sad but true. NIL is bad the way it is currently being run. The kids (or parents) have all the power.

Nuss didn't do what sage did, jump to portal thinking he was hot shite, and realzie nobody wants his sorry arse. And he didn't do what underwood did either. He's stuck with lsu and waited his turn and just wants to win. Yes he's paid, but he isn't shooting opposing players with air guns, or walking away from Kelly. Boo the guys who act like pricks, not the ones who just try to do their job. Sorry arse fans

Median salary in Louisiana is around $52k.
Gameday experience for a family of 4 runs about $800.
The athletes are making high 6 and low to mid 7 figures. If their effort is poor, they can be booed

There's a couple of things that were drilled into me from high school, that to this day, I still honor: 1. If any student boo'd at any sports game, you were suspended for 3 days. 2. if any student cut the corner on a sidewalk (walked on the grass at the corner instead of staying on the sidewalk), you had to pick up a big can of cigarette butts at the end of the day.
Well, that’s fricking stupid.
