He has won two Special teams coach of the year awards, one in 2004, and another in 2008.

I like the resume, but I mostly value position coaches on recruiting. I guess we shall see.

Great hire and great guy! I was fishing the Eric Andolsek Tournament one year and we were sitting at a table with a bunch of guys pounding beers. Down to earth good guy that loves bass fishing!

I'm sure it doesn't, but recruiting is more about connecting with players and selling the program

I don't doubt this guy knows STs based off his resume

Sure, if he's been coaching in the NFL for 7 years, 10 if you count each etc as a team.

Yeah...but we had a great recruiter in that position.... and our special teams have struggled. Hopefully, he can recruit a bit.

Wow! If this is true I might be even more excited about this than Canada. April is a legit special teams guru.

I like the hire VERY much. Another Louisiana guy and I still remember when he was with the Saints. O has assembled a staff of coordinators that are top notch, and the great thing about Coach O, is he will let his assistants do THEIR job and it'll make him look like a genius!
