1. Bo Pelini 2
2. Matt House
3. Bo Pelini 1

Matt House did a pretty decent job in 2022. I don't think many were predicting a complete collapse in 2023

Only Lou Tepper could make Quincy Carter and Dumbian Craig SEC offensive players of week at a time when both Auburn and Georgia ran the ball on first and second down every series. His drop linebacker defense allow Quincy Carter to complete something like 17 passes in a row and in the game with a 90% completion ratio. I still have PTSD from the 98 and 99 seasons.

Statically, he was MUCH better than Matt House. We’ve been over this numerous times. Teppers second year, the D ranked 42nd in the nation. We had different expectations back then. I believe House’s year 2 Def ranked in the triple digits.

98 Tepper was painful
99 was Bob McConnell’s shitshow

Assuming we’re just talking round 2 of Pelini, it’s a tight race.

On one hand, House actually had a solid year before crashing out while Pelini went 1 and done.

On the other hand, Matt House absolutely cost us a national title.

Pelini probably had more talent and depth to work with but also had to deal with post-2019 Orgeron.

Worst hire goes to Matt House.

Pelini shouldn’t get a boost in his job performance review because the offense was also terrible most of 2020

I don’t know Don Corleon, Carter won games in the NFL. Pelini made Will Rogers a record setting QB.

We won a championship with Bo.

His heart just wasn't in coaching when we hired him a 2nd time.

Matt was completely inept. Folks on the internet were telling him to stop lining his defense up 2 yards off the ball. Random Joe > Matt House.

OP is an actual negative oriented individual. He wanted attention and went straight for a topic that is negative. (Complain-A-Whiner)

There's a huge difference between a "Negative oriented Nega-Tiger" and a "Down to earth and not living in P&G fantasy land Realistic-Tiger." (Despite all the by the Cheerleader Vajayjay crowd) ,

Bo did what he was hired to do.

Bo was an excellent DC and Coach until he came back to BR. Hmmmm?
He got his money and left.

He was a good HC at Nebraska. Probably the best since Osborne. The coaching/recruiting landscape at Nebraska had changed since Osborne was winning championships. Bo was above average there.
