I stand for LSU. I’m not knighting for any individual player for the season.

Just go ahead and blame Tanks for not fielding the ground ball before Jobert misplayed his ball.
Kentucky’s third baseman made a tougher play and turned two on a Tanks ground ball later in the game.

Then why did he overrun it if it was in his head?

Because when you are running towards the wall you will glance at the wall to see how close you are getting and then look back up to find the ball. By the time he checked the wall, looked back up and found the ball, he had over run it.

I did. What Jobert did was WAY worse though.

Maybe so, I was at the game, never saw a replay.

I just don’t think it was an “easy” play. It should have been made, but it was more than just a simple fly ball.

And many factors contributed to us losing. That play being one of them, but it was far from the only reason. He’s getting too much hate for that one play. Our pitchers threw away two bunts for crying out loud.

IF White had NOT made that ERROR at 3b which was NOT an overly hard play to make, IMO, there would have been no fly to Jobert.

That being said, both plays were bad. But that's what you get with DH's playing at 3b and RF.

He was running full speed from his positioning in the RF gap.
Just stop. As soon as the camera panned out he was damn near over running where the ball would eventually land. He was nowhere near the RF gap to start.

I’ve got a whole lotta things I’m mad about tonight. Not just one play.

Pitching, fielding, base running, not pinch hitting in an obvious spot down 5.

if Jobert makes one routine play, we win that game.

If White fields the ground ball and throws the runner out… Joubert don’t need to make that routine play.

Yes, his play looked a lot worse… but our defense looked like crap as a whole. Not just on 1 guy though.

Not sure how many times I have to say it wasn't one guy.

But one guy fricked up the most.

You forget that right before that, Tanks misplayed a grounder. So it ain’t all Jobert’s fault

Yeah and White can make up for that at the plate. Jobert not so much.

Our defense is leaking more and more, and the timing really hurts, as we are struggling to get outs on the mound. Gotta make those plays.

While the misplayed fly ball was terrible, Jobert hit a grand slam last night not White...

You can’t tell that ny rewatching the play. I agree with you on this issue. It was an awful play, but he might have checked the wall - it’s just a flick of the eyes - but it doesn’t matter, because it’s still a terrible play.

Defense was always going to be the weakness of this team. We came into the season with below average defensive players at every infield spot except first base (assuming Dugas at second). Thompson has surprised and has lifted his game. Dugas is a better infielder than I thought he’d be, but he still doesn’t have the range and glove you’d like to see there. And White is just a below average defensive third baseman just as you’d guess by looking at him.

Our outfield is good, even with Jobert at RF. Crews and Morgan can cover some ground. If Kling had worked out, or even if Pearson was hitting better, we’d be great in the outfield, but Jobert is a consistent weakness.

Wut?

White had a BB hit at him!

Jobert had a lazy pop up my 16 year old would have caught!

GFY!

Ty Floyd and the embarrassing pitching staff also fricked us. Routine strikes apparently can not be thrown and were not thrown. Hitting batters and walking batters all fricking night should not happen at this level of baseball.

Hit into 4 double plays, 3 errors and drop a routine catch that lets KY score 3 runs.
That’s how you lose a game. We looked sloppy all over the field.
