Ehhh, not taking a side here, but this is sort of misconstrued to help him. It was the BCS and they had to win 0 playoff games to play in the championship game

I'll admit I have been a bit disappointed in what Brian Kelly has accomplished at LSU thus far. I guess the high water marks were the wins over Alabama and Ole Miss in 2022 and the Ole Miss win in 2024.
Otherwise, he just hasn't won any significant games, though he's lost a few in embarrassing fashion.
Still, I want to see what he does with this 2025 roster. He has home games against Florida and A&M, games he lost on the road last year. He gets Alabama and Ole Miss with first-year starters at quarterback, South Carolina in Baton Rouge, and nine months to prepare for Clemson.
I'm still hopeful that it comes together this year, but another 9-3 or 8-4 season without a Playoff appearance just won't cut it. It's year four with a loaded transfer roster, an experienced quarterback, and a defensive coaching staff on year two. No more excuses.

Indiana, UGA without 2 year starting QB, who was 23-2, passed for over 7,000 yards, 56 TD’s and 69% completion rate, surely they didn’t miss him and Penn State who hasn’t played anyone and who’s coach is 1 - 18 vs top 5. The actually kicked FSU out of playoffs when QB got hurt bc they weren’t the same team - LOL - Kelly never got a chance to play a junk pile like Indiana

Making a post about Notre Dame and Marcus Freeman right after they win is insecure, yes. Thinking that Notre Dame’s success or failure is somehow connected with LSU is insecure. Nothing Notre Dame has any effect on lsu, so why should and tiger fans care if Notre dame wins or loses. Pretty easy to tell who the beta’s are from this thread.

No, it's more about how Notre Dame gets a distinct advantage of playing a soft regular season schedule, and allows them to get into the playoffs… And then it becomes a three or four game season in which anything can happen.

It’s not being “insecure” to point out that BK has had ND in this exact same spot before. Those are just facts.
It is however, idiotic to proclaim that ND is “better” without BK at this point. Now of course if they happen to win the championship, you can make that argument, but at this point, the best you can logically say is that Freeman has them at the equivalent that BK did (though BK did build them back from a complete dumpster fire which is something I don’t believe Freeman could have done).
