Kinda like having all summer to plan for your opening game huh?
That's a stupid post.

EVERY team has all summer to plan for their opening game, and half of them lose.

I’d be all for some sort of regulation as nil has screwed up college athletics in ways they never imagined. I’m not sure the NCAA has the teeth to do anything about it though.

The whole idea of Underwood was for him to come in and be the guy after Nuss left this year.

Where is Nussmeier going? Certainly not the NFL.

It's an incredibly weak QB draft class. Most mocks/draft boards have him going in the second round right now. He's definitely a threat to declare.

How do you know he doesn't have a plan B?

Did you want him actively recruiting another QB while we had underwood committed?

Some of you posters are so fricking stupid it hurts

And please stop with this Collins and Hurley nonsense. Neither of them are capable of or prepared to winning LSU games in the future.

Hurley was ranked higher than Underwood for 2025. He was the youngest at the Elite 11 and starred. He was 16 when he signed and turned 17 on campus. Saying what you said is just anger and has 0 rationale.

They don’t get elite HS QBs to workout.

Hurley was ranked higher than Underwood for the class of 2025. So one is elite and one isn’t?

I criticize BK a good bit and this is a weak take

You can't recruit other top QBs once you get a whale.

That's the nature of recruiting and why you can't frick up the commitment of that whale.

Losing Underwood is part of BKs process. Dealing with a non mobile QB like Nuss again next year is part of the process. BK has a process.

I think the QB from a&m that ran all over us was a Freshman. I think DJ Lagway is a Freshman and beat us without being able to run.

Reed at A&M is a RS Freshman. He has a set of packages he runs designed to take advantage of his mobility. Connor Weigman is still Elko’s guy.

DJ Lagway came into the season as a backup. When their starter went down, SunBelt Billy had no other choice.

Neither one of those guys was expected to immediately be “The Man” as soon as they set foot on campus, by their coaches or anyone else. Any success Lagway has had is generally the exception rather than the rule. And there are times (even in our game) where he looked every bit the kid who was playing QB in HS this time last year.

how do you know Underwood didn't say don't recruit other QB's? What then you tell him to frick off we are recruiting other ones?

I think that’s what most people are missing Hurley was rated a 5 star for the 2025 class right behind underwood! We just got him a year earlier! I do agree with hitting the portal if a really good player is available! Then you have 6 or 7 instate guys for 2026 that are good and some elite for 2027

The same BK who brought in Jayden Daniels? You think Underwood is the end of the world but it’s not. There will be proven talent in the portal for less money

How exactly does that work? It’s a position that you only take one player per cycle. Do you think a top flight qb was going to sit around hoping Underwood flops from LSU so that he can have his spot? Nobody worth a damn was even looking LSU’s direction as long as Underwood was committed.

Exactly .., Underwood fricked LSU over with his unwavering “commitment”. Would have been much better off without a commitment from him so we could continue pursuing other top-notch QBs.

Did Nuss have to take classes toward his degree this year? I’m just curious because didn’t Burrow and Daniel’s last year they were already done with school? Or were taking some bs classes to stay enrolled. That last year is when both of them took off.
I could be completely wrong there.

Not saying another year of Nuss is the answer… but it could have some merit being able to focus more time on football.

Nuss is not good and will not be better behind a brand new offensive line next year.

How do we know the offensive line will be worse?

Everyone is all up in arms about the "talent" we are losing, but that "talent" isn't producing as is.

We now have all of that Underwood money to go and address other holes in the roster. In this era, you can no longer project next season based on current rosters because so much can change between now and next season.

Experience and cohesion is critical in the SEC. Imagine a line full of Mubenga and Chester this year. It's not a good place to be.
