Dress it up however you want but that's the reality.
and they still should have won it because they just crumble at the end like 2 other losses. Tignoribg what happened to the Oline at halftime of TAMU and the second teamed the week before and playing with 2 first year starters RS Freshmen, you think that might have something to the Oline giving up 7 sacks and the receivers outside of Anderson and Daniels are not LSU quality. Then there is the entire dline and Ryan issue.
Lagway sat in the pocket. There was no rush.

5. NIL support. We simply are one of the bottom SEC NIL schools

This is absolutely not true I read the other day we are third in the country in NIL support you think we have the #1 class because they just want to come to LSU now? That ship has sailed so this statement is absolutely false just by looking at our #1 class ranking

Lanning over BK all day..he knows the SEC mentored under Saban and Kirby.
He knows what it takes to recruit and how important the trenches are in the SEC.
No soft team with lack of an edge/physical style.
He is all in and not a CEO/golf fanatic.

firing a really good defensive mind DC

I'll push back on this and say his track record as a DC does not back this up. He wasn't as bad as his last season but he was not a really good defensive mind, IMO. Regardless of that, Baker is a better defensive mind than House.

We dont have the players. We knew we were taking a hit on Offense with a Heisman qb leaving and 2 stud wrs.

Coaching make the players better.
Our 3rd string should be better than 75% of the college teams.

Using the excuse of players leaving is a cheap cop out. Guess who else has players leaving all the time, yet maintains high level production consistently…..

People say this and then complain about being 8-4 or 7-5. Make the connection. Look at the top 3 teams. Look at the vast majority of the top 12. Up until this year they were all known to spend more than LSU in NIL.

You aren't getting Lanning from Oregon. He has unlimited NIL to use in recruiting and plays in a weaker conference.

4. Sloan hire is BKs only knock for me. Seemed like the easy hire and I believe he should go back to qbs coach and the elite recruiter he is.

Polian was a bad hire. The lack of a special teams coach is a red flag.

But generally speaking I’m with you. BK provides stability at LSU. Something we have longed for. The only way he gets ran out of town is if he has multiple seasons with 5+ losses.

That’s the reality. Yall better learn to like him and support him because we’re married to him for at least 5 more seasons. His job is already hard and the pressure piled on top of that makes it even harder. Please name a coach that would sustain and run a clean program as a consistent winner with no infractions/scandals.

Absolutely false.

We were 3rd in nation this year. -- ahead of Bama, Georgia, Tx AM, etc...

I think Kelly is a good coach. I still think that. HOWEVER, I'm done defending him.

His teams come out looking unprepared and lost in almost every game. Spare me the "it's just the execution" excuse. He got those players here, he's responsible for making them better.

this is me right here. i have been defending him because i know the talent level is down and the depth is non-existent, and as we move through the season those 2 things alone are exposing our biggest weaknesses as we played better teams.

HOWEVER, as i mentioned to my son, after firing O and Les, and hearing it was Kelly, i said i felt like we would be better just on principal by having a committed organizer, a leader, someone with a proven plan and direction and who speaks with purpose, not just rah rah shite. and i can't say that I've seen that. and as i type this, a lot of that all goes back to lack of elite talent and depth, but there are other things that we could\should be sound in that we just are not and that's where I'm not defending him any longer.

He hasn't brought the class in yet. He absolutely must hold on to Pickett and Phillips, those guys have the potential to completely bring back DBU which we desperately need. Needs to hang on to Miller and Curne with our suspect guard play. He needs to hang on to all the D lineman. And obviously Underwood. If he can do that then we are in good shape. But he absolutely cannot lose any of those recruits.

Technically there were 39

I'm so tired of seeing this excuses. This isn't true. Hanny cleared this up Saturday night in the post-game show. He said LSU had 39 scholarship players available for the bowl game against Kansas St. The total number of scholarship players on the roster/BK inherited was around 50. He said injured, redshirted players and Nuss was NOT included in that 39.

Come on man. We would all love that but if Lanning isn’t leaving for Bama he ain’t leaving for LSU.
