Billy Napier has the highest ceiling of any coaching candidate

When you think about the elite recruiting in Louisiana, his approach to building a staff and program, the success he’s had as a coordinator, the preparation he takes, the fact Saban wanted him back on staff twice, and he’s only 42. This is the coach.
It’s maddening see the retards in our fan base (including Moscona) say we “We CaNt HiRe tHe CoACh at ULL!” You have no legitimate talking points against this guy except for he hasn’t done it a P5 program. Nothing. And when he inevitably succeeds, you’re going to be sitting on your asses wondering what if
If you think we can’t win with Billy Napier, when we’ve won a natty with Ed Orgeron and Les fricking Miles… you have no hope. You’re an idiot.
He would take this program to another level if hired.

He’s never proven he can win at this level and he’s been ok at UL with a ton of wins in 50-50 games

Napier may not be the "Biggest name on the Marquee" but he is a good fit for LSU, however Dave Aranda as HC with Napier as AHC and 0C would be an awesome combo and great fit.
Give him 2 million to be the OC at LSU and he'd make the move, or just give him the HC job if DA doesn't want the gig.
Fickell is an Ohio Boy, doesn't know Louisiana or the South. Would be a big social learning curve there.
Not so with Dave and Billy. They full well know what the expectations are and what they're getting into......
