King referred to Alleva this morning on his radio show as the biggest “douchecanoe“ of all time! National Radio show hosts recognize what we have been saying for years. When will our administration cut ties? Imagine what we could do with a competent, well respected AD?

Bill King is an idiot and is not much better than Finebaum, he's just mad he never made it Finebaum status. He has to trash other teams because Tenn has been so awful.

You don't have to care about Alleva to realize King's opinion is about as relevant as some random kid on the street.

I don't like Aleva at all, but I don't want everybody, especially some a-hole radio personality from out of state just start bashing him, and in extension LSU. It's like having a little brother, LSU fans are the only ones allowed to bash on Aleva.

Curious seeing as how Tennessee courted Alleva before our feckless, hapless boobs in place as faux-called "leadership," at LSU offered him a raise to stay.

Would have loved to see him become someone else's problem. He'd have been a perfect fit at Rocky Top. Fulmer loves a cuckhold like him...

Be that as it may, he's not exactly wrong about Alleva. Fair or not, of his 4 major hires (football/basketball), one won the SEC and flamed out just as quickly (Johnson). Two were guys that literally no other major conf. program would even consider as HC candidates (Jones and Ogeron). The fourth guy (Wade) seems to be a good hire (perhaps great hire). But judging from his previous track record can we say that was Alleva's doing? His guy largely responsible for basketball at the time, Eddie Nunez, was a former Florida player who played and coached under Billy Donovan. It was Nunez who pushed for Wade as a guy who really reminded him of a young Donovan. Left to his own devices, Alleva would have likely hired a mediocre HC who was in minimal demand.

I am hoping beyond hope that Ogeron proves everyone wrong and has a great tenure at LSU. But from poor coaching hires, to completely bungling the Miles removal, his tenure hasn't been great.

what channel is he on? I miss his xm morning show, so much better than the other national college xm shows. you might think he's an idiot or disagree with him but it was all college football with alot of focus on the SEC and he didn't have all the obnoxious callers like Finebaum

Welp, if you're a douchecanoe, you need to go full Monty and become the biggest one possible. For that effort alone Joltin' Joe Alleva merits a certain level of praise.

Bill King is still alive? He dropped off the face of the Earth. He tried to be a recruiting guru but failed. I guess he is trying to let people know he is still breathing.

Alleva should never have been hired after the Duke Lacrosse fiasco.
