Huh...well, no shite. You're right.
Kills me that such a stud was a walk-on.
Sorry Verge, I'm going with Ron and you a close second:)

Didn't he not only get into, but actually pick a fight with Eric Andolsec in the dorm or dining hall?
......no.....Jay was one of the most gentile guys ever. Now, Eric Hill and Big E, well, we shall say a clash of the titans with the solid edge to Big E. Not a knock on Hill at all. Andolsek was a VERY VERY unique specimen. RIP

I know Booty did not take a scholarship when he came to LSU and I think the same can be said for Mauck.
I would consider both to be very preferred walk ons.

I've heard several of his teammates talk about how they didn't understand why he wasn't a starter or played more. I had never heard of him at the time but they said he was one of the best D-Lineman on the team and a great leader as a player. The most respected player on the team his last couple of years.

Matt Mauck, I believe is the most accomplished, if not the best

LOL. Dude, Ron sancho wasn't a walk-on. He was a highly touted recruit when he came out of shaw. On top of that, I know him personally and know he was on full scholly at LSU. My bro and his son are best friends.

Not really. He was given a track scholarship because the NCAA took 10 football scholarships away from Miami his freshman year. He was given the first football scholarship that opened up a few weeks into his freshman season.

He was top 10 in the state his senior year and offered by LSU and almost everyone in the country. Not sure how or why you think he was a walk on.
That’s a hard fail right there. Nice.

No, Bret Bech was a walk-on from Slidel back in the early 90s. Good guy. He ended up being an All-SEC WR and played a few years in the NFL. He was a Saint for about 4 years. He's now a Strength and Conditioning coach for the Cowboys.
