Brandon Larson against rice in first cws game in '97. That was absurd.

I think hanagriff made a comment about that one one time about how he thinks that ball hasn't even landed yet.

Saw Morris in person so that's obviously number 1.

I have to suck it up and admit the longest/most impressive home run I saw hit in the old box was Bo Jackson.

Best home run I saw in person was the grand slam we had against Georgia last year and the Ralph rhymes blasted another right after that one. 'twas glorious.

This wasn't in a game, but it was during BP before one of the games in Omaha in '09...Chad Jones routinely crushed them over the fence during BP, but he hit one that I swear cleared the stadium out of centerfield. it was the most insanely long hit ball i've ever seen.

In person, I saw Lyle Mouton crush one at least over a row of the apartments past left field. I also saw Todd Walker pop one way the hell over the RF lights, but never saw the ball land.

My vote for best ever is Warren Morris, though.

The one Furniss hit that won me 1000 lottery scratch-off tickets. I can't remember who it was against, but Louisiana Lottery was sponsoring the game.

Someone has to ask....

How did you do with the 1000 lottery tickets?

That was Jon Zeringue. I guess you weren't there...

About $140. I was an undergrad at the time, though, so it seemed like more money then.

Good for you.

$140 as an undergrad I am sure made you feel wealthy.

Show up 2 minutes before first pitch and get a general admission ticket and sit just about anywhere. I bet some games had 150 people at them.

There were a few I saw hit for LSU it would seem like they were going to hit the married student housing out there like Lyle Mouton, Furness, etc...for whatever reason I have blacked out Joey Belle.

I was going to say zeringue's walk off in the regional.

Dean seeing beachballs in 08.

Also on the opponent side, Laporta hit one at the old box that cleared Nicholson and maybe the landscaping on the other side.

Probably had more to do with them beating Tulane the game before. We were really cheering hard for them against the Green Wave. Lets go Seahawks!

Morris's homerun

I'd fallen asleep on the couch during the game (like old men do). Out of nowhere I was startled awake, as if God's hand had shaken me. Morris steps to plate, and I see the at bat.

Surreal.
