I’m adamant in believing that Les Miles is still coaching if Cam Robinson comes to LSU.

Landon Collins is a good player and would have contributed, but we were very strong at safety, so he wouldn't have made a huge difference. Plus he's not near as good as Jamal Adams. They were about equally outstanding on run support, while Adams was much better in coverage, where Collins was picked on while at Bama by passing teams.

You know good and well Eil or Peyton were never going to LSU. Did they even recruit them?

I remember seeing Eli on the sideline for a game with some other recruits in i think 98 so he at least took an OV

While many of the players Bama got from LA would have been contributors, Robinson was the one player that would have made a huge difference because of the weakness of our O Line. Every other play they got, you could point to players we had that were as good or better.

Too many to count from the late 80's through the 90's. Seemed like every big bowl game had at least one starter from LA. The 90's would be the only decade in history that the best of LA players that didn't go to LSU were better than the ones that went to LSU and it wasn't even close. Every other decade, the LSU players would be far better.

who?

Try, off the top, a guy named Peyton Manning and his brother Eli. And Marshall Faulk.

Many, many others.

Peyton and Eli are rightly considered Ole Miss transplants.

"Truly" native born players we missed on?

uh, Peyton and Eli Manning were both born in New Orleans and lived their entire life there until leaving for college.

That's as native as you can get.

Peyton Manning.

Doesn't count.

Archie publicly said neither of his boys would play for a Louisiana College.

Brock Berlin was a bad man in HS. I wouldn't call him a "miss" I think we did just fine in the early 2000's.

Saw them both. Billy Cannon Jr. is the best athlete to ever come out of Broadmoor High School. He played pro football and could have played professional baseball (drafted by the Yankees I think). Bucky was outstanding. Both Texas Aggies too.

Pooka Williams from Hahnville. I saw this young man play when he was a sophomore and knew he was special. He single handedly took Hahnville to the Dome this year and against the best defense in Louisiana, still gained over 200 yards in the championship game.

Unlike DALSU I have credible sources in this recruit, and Pooka was never going to be eligible to play at LSU. His signing with Kansas "OVER" LSU is a farce.

Come back to this post when he's not dressed out in Fall.
