It’s a Frank decision to get him mad and recruit him to Ole Miss

What’s he going to say? “Do you really want to play for LSU after the coach benched you? Come play for me instead.”

Who got worse? The unit was better, opponents averaged over a half yard less ypc, and defense was much better overall.

Durham took a huge step back after a year under frank. And also the main reason for the hate was the signing day delays and insiders claiming frank wanted to tie the signees to him not the school.

0% to do with your “I wonder why.” Kyle Williams would have been shite on just like anyone else if his unit was Swiss cheese.

Lester, I think you are on to something… No one ever criticizes white coaches like BK, Sloan, Baker. I mean most fans only cheer for the white players like Green, Parker, etc…

He’s not your best player if he is a fumbler, and Berry is a fumbler. He had a reputation for bad ball security in camp, and he has lived up to it. He is a talent, but he has to develop the physical strength and mental toughness to hold onto the friggin ball!

If we had played Berry we probably win that game.

Yall are wild.. He had one good run for 36 yards and fumbled on the 3rd or fourth carry...He's a good rb but to say we win if he's playing when we haven't ran the football all year long and one of the worst rushing teams in the country is wild.

This is old school mentality and works when you have a backfield like Leonard Fournette, Derrius Guice & Nick Brossette, or Justin Vincent, Joseph Addai & Alley Broussard, or Kevin Faulk, Rondell Mealey & Cecil Collins.

It doesn’t work when one guy produces.

If a player has a fumble or INT it’s crucial to give it right back to them.

This is true for a player who rarely fumbles. It is false for a player with a fumbling problem.

I guess that doesn’t apply to a qb throwing interceptions here at LSU.

Not a at all. Durham did get worse, as I stated in the very next statement to save you having to ask this exact question. Did Williams guys get worse?

This entire conversation is based around why frank is getting more shite than kyle Williams, right?

I’ve given you two reasons, and am arguing your original reason

When the other team has 201 yards rushing and you bench your leading rusher for a fumble just to teach him a lesson, that's not a coaching moment. Especially when you are not going to be around after this game!!

and that is the reason that Frank will never be the head coach at LSU. actually I think he threw the game!

Berry was the second best playmaker on the offense last night behind Green and Frank didn't get him a touch in the 2nd half. Inexcusable

3rd behind green and Parker. But I agree with the sentiment of the post

Frank was in so far over his head. I doubt Frank had clarity to look at situations in a vacuum. There was too much noise [too much multi-tasking for a significant percentage of folks over 50] where he clearly couldn't do a single thing thoroughly [and ultimately "right"].

Strength and Conditioning Issues that plagued this team may also have been lacking for hand strength. Regardless, the abilities that Berry has to create opportunities to extend runs is hard to teach. There's significant value in having those types of weapons.

Our new RB coach will fix any issues Berry has with holding onto the ball [technique or strength and conditioning or both].

Common sense says that when they're consistently being thrown into the game cold then a player will make mistakes at a higher rate.

I don't see the issue with letting Berry work through his issues when one guy has a 0 ypc average and the other doesn't block.

maybe remove Berry after a 2nd fumble, but not after one fumble. Crazy things can happen to cause a fumble, not all of them the ballcarriers fault.
If all the great RB's in football history were removed after one fumble, they would not be HOF members. Some 'rules' are just plain stupid, and LSU had more than their share of stupid this year. So glad it is over.
