Why is everybody lauding coach O for this?

You're running a national brand and can hire anybody you want and you are telling me the best hires just happen to be former players? This is the exact same thing that brought the downfall of Les Miles and CPM. Hiring BBQ buddies, friends and former players. Everybody grills those two for their nepotism. Why the double standard?

I think this is a bad sign. Why can't he or why wouldn't he want to hire the best available minds?

Hiring former players to analyst and mentoring roles and hiring your buddy as the offensive coordinator are two very different things.

Who better to sell the program than former players? You want to talk about life after football as well? Guess what? LSU takes care of their own much less the city of BR/state of L.A.

This is also an analyst position we are talking about. ANALYST

I don’t know much about Kennison but Shepard & Logan are the type of guys you want around your program. They are basically paid interns at the moment. Their personalities & character fit, both have nfl pedigree. You see what you have & go from there

I didn’t like the way the offseason went in terms of coaching hires. The staff got old really quick. If this is a way to infuse some youth, how can you not be open to it.

Logan is an analyst not the DC. Maybe, he wants to be a dl coach one day. Maybe, O will make him earn his chops by being an analyst first and see what he brings to the table. The 2020 season won't hinge on Logan being an analyst.

It must just eat you alive that O led LSU’s greatest season in our history.
