He is on a Jamarcus Russell level of bust. As soon as the Oklahoma game was played, when he vanished for the final ten mins when his team needed him most, I knew he was way way overated. But to be fair, he milked this for all it’s been worth. He has life changing money that should last for a couple generations.

That team actually had some solid pieces around him.
It was already mentioned but if you watched the Oklahoma game there was no question about who Ben Simmons was.
He disappeared with the quietest 14/9 of all time while a far less gifted buddy hield took over the game down the stretch.

The reason we sucked that year was that Jones should have recruited a center to allow Simmons to play as a point forward. Instead Jones recruited his buddy Blakeney, a shooting guard, to a team that had tons of shooting guards. Jones proceeded to give Blakeney the starting job and throw up a ton of bricks to start the season, totally alienating half of the team.
