Not judging, but when you miss time on this team you may see someone step up and take you're spot in the lineup.

The remaining members of the team did not screw up and deserve our support.......thats all I'm trying to say!! To say this is not a major screw up by the three muskateer pot heads would be crazy. I guess I'm an optimist trying to see the glass half full. Will be at the game Saturday fired up as usual.

Sorry, I am not going to feel sorry for you. You go to LSU for free. You get help in school because you play football. You get to play in front of 95k people that love you

Because they don't make millions of dollars for the school each year. IMO, saying an LSU player goes to LSU for free is stupid. A fair market wage would result in far more than the cost of tuition. Unfortunately, that is basically all they get.

Festus, Should we, as fans, simply look the other way and excuse ongoing use because they are your teammates.

Festus, Why? Why do you think it is right to verbally trash someone when they mess up? If they are guilty, LSU will suspend them. They will learn their lesson without your hateful talk.

Why don't you encourage them to know that even though they are suspended, we hope the best for them. Fans of other teams aren't going to do that for them. The media definitely will not. Only their friends and family will support them. But maybe you don't consider fan-hood to be synonymous with friendly.

This is the lesson that many LSU fans have yet to learn. It is really a life lesson as much as it is a lesson in fan-hood.

Fans don't boo. Friends don't gossip.

First of all EVERY ONE OF THEM is given a chance to earn a degree. Most whom couldnt afford it otherwise.

secondly, a small number of them that are gifted enough have the following things at their disposal to help them make million in the NFL

-top notch coaching
-top notch S & C coach and facilities
-second to none exposure most schools do not offer

don't give me fair market bullshite . You get what you put in, and they have everything at their disposal. The world is in their hands, whether it is football or electrical engineering or whatever.

I have mixed feelings about this. I did do a lot of stupid things at 18 & 19 BUT I did not have the entire Tiger Nation looking up to me and counting on me for great things. Y'all are better than everyone else with your athletic abilities so we expect y'all to act better than the average teenager in your off time.

There are several of us on this board who knew people at 18 & 19 that didn't do such. In fact, they gave more of themselves than any of us have done. One was my father. When he was 18 he was in Europe fighting Nazis. He saw one of his best friends blown to pieces by a mine and that same mine injured him. He was captured by Nazis and was tortured by them, including having his left hand (he was left handed) completely sliced across and permanently damaged.
If that weren't bad enough, he was a child during the depression. Like many in the South, the family struggled and my father was picking cotton to help with his parents to put food on the table, that consisted a lot of times of just beans, cornbread and maybe another vegetable.
Getting a coca cola was a special treat for him when he was a kid. In a good year, he got two new pairs of pants at Christmas and if he was lucky, his shoes lasted until the next without him putting cardboard inside because the soles were worn out.

Yep, when I think of him and the many LSU men that graced the halls of our magnificent university and made all of Louisiana proud of the "Ole War Skule," I cannot accept the excuse of "they are 18 and 19 year olds" for our present young men who have had a much easier life.

You act like they're fricking heretics, yet you douchebags can go drink yourselves into dialysis, and you're not judged. If it WAS "synthetic weed" then they just did what every other kid who wants to smoke but not risk their job does. They got a fake alternative. They thought they wouldn't get caught for something that is, by all means, not really that big of a deal. They did. Get over it. Let them serve their suspensions and move on. It's not like they had a picture of the coaching staff and team on one side of a table and a loaded bowl on the other and spit on the team photo in spite of them while choosing to get high. This scenario's massive explosion is why the Rant is genuinely the most hypocritical collection of morons, white trash, and douchebags on Earth.

It doesnt mean we should also support their stupid decisions off the field.

It would be refreshing for once for a player to accept what they have done and not throw it in the fans face that they "dont support them". What a goddman cop out.

Sorry, I am not going to feel sorry for you. You go to LSU for free. You get help in school because you play football. You get to play in front of 95k people that love you. If you do something wrong, don't twist it and throw it in my face like I dont support LSU football.

Did most people make mistakes as a kid? Sure. But i am the man i am today because I owned up to them. Did my parents yell at me and disagree with the things I did? Sure. Did that mean they didnt love me still? No.

Agreed.

You also have no idea what kind of tweets Mathieu and Ware are receiving.

Knowing our Tiger fanbase, I'm certain they're getting some serious hate tweets.

Because every team and player pretty much in the history of sports uses anything they can as motivation and as a way to rally and come together as a unit?

It's so normal, no clue why guys keep bringing this up.

his, exactly. They have the fans support

You have zero clue what kind of stuff they're hearing and reading from random fans on twitter and FB.

Just look at this board half the time, I have no doubts that they're getting some seriously fricked up messages, and that is the reason you're seeing these responses from Beckham and landry.

Why are people so naive about this, I have no clue.

Well our fanbase can be pretty shitty to players...especialy when you can do it over a computer and have no repurcussions.

Y'all are idiots!!! You guys don't know any of these players personally enough to judge anybody. So STFU!!! Raise your own children or your own damn self. I'm a LSU alum and fan and I keep it as that. I have no interest in the players personal lives. They made a mistake so did all of us at one point in time

in other words just be quiet.
DOnt worry about what players do, regardless if it sheds a negative light on the Unviersity we all love.
Deal with it.

This line of thinking makes me want to kick something. ... specifically the people who think this way.

I'm pretty sure my hypothesis is much more legit than thinking they're getting nothing but messages of support.

Explain this--- I do not understand what you are saying.

Just trying to understand----not being negative
