. Two of the best players smoking some trees in the middle of the possibly the best season in Tiger football history, when they know they are gonna get tested, is fricking retarded. Sugar coating it doesn't make you more of a fan.

Typical Rant.

I never even have my thoughts in what they actually got I'm trouble for, and yet you're responding like I did.

I never made any mention of the offense, if you didn't notice.

There is not a fan out there right now that does not have EVERYONE on the teams back.

Man, I couldn't disagree with that statement more. As someone who has been on this board for many years, I've seen quite a few posters (who at least call themselves fans)that do not have EVERYONE on the team's back. Heck, there are some who hardly ever post except to bash one player or another or cut one down to build another up.

I also don't agree with the rationale that many have that "I made mistakes" but it's different cause I'm not a football player. If something is wrong, it's wrong no matter what your station in life is.

Of course, having said all that, yeah, I'm pissed. But I admit that it's selfish on my part because what these guys did has the potential of harming what I see as kind of a dream season so far.

That's exactly my thoughts.

Well said.

come on LAT. You know Erin Andrews interviewed you when you were a Soph.

She came to me and asked me about how I was coming along in World Geog.

A bit disappointed, but not pissed. I don't think this is something that sticks with anyone if LSu beats Auburn and everyone is back for Bama.

I was in another organization on campus that is highly visible. I saw people kicked out of the university in that organization for some of the antics they pulled and they were pretty "common for 18-20 year olds." That was several years back and that organization is much, much stricter now. They don't get full scholarships and they put a lot of time in for the school they love.

Erin Andrews was just starting to walk when I was in school.

I think the fans recognize that this is likely the best Tiger team to date and that it would be a shame to see a good bunch of kids make some dumb mistakes because they have now become larger than life. I may get spewed at over this statement, but football really is not the most important thing in their lives. This is only a drop in the bucket to the temptation to participate in things that can get them in trouble, when compared to the NFL, and we have all seen our share of tragedy among young athletes. We love our Tigers, and do support them, but also want the university represented well, and not have a great year tarnished by a bunch of trouble.

that said.
