TCU had 600 more passing yards and 14 more passing TD's, and the top 3 receivers are leaving.

That's great if you're picking up an LSU receiver on the cheap in your college fantasy football ppr draft, but it doesn't mean anything in the real world.

Except the argument was that he would get more passes at TCU so in this case, it proves we threw the ball to our top receivers more than they did. I’m sorry Bech wasn’t good enough to remain on the team.

In a conference that may as well randomly select fans out of the stands to play defense for them every game.

Like it or not when you muff a punt, then have a meltdown like a 12 year old, then claim injury you pretty much put yourself behind in said race! But, best of luck to the kid!

This.

Dude came out in street clothes in the 2nd half. That entire sequence changed the perception of what type of player he was.

Just got passed up and fumbled way to much. Not a loss in any way

Bingo! And had it been any other “player”, these same people would crucify him here. But we can’t hurt the snowflakes feelings.

Ah there it is. You could not did deep enough into the statistics to make your point so this is what you come up with. Daniels is an athlete playing QB and he is not good at it. Just come to terms with and stop playing mental gymnastics trying to convince yourself.

ROFLMFAO THeir running back beat us, not their QB. That running back ran up and down the field on us.
You are correct the arse whippin LSU received was in large part due to their RB running it down LSUs throat.

You also can’t discount the fact that JD and their freshman QB had roughly the same amount of yards but A&Ms QB also added 2 TDs to JDs goose egg.

Josh Williams vs John Emery destroys your argument.
the exception that proves the rule.

Look, there are walk-on success stories all over the place. Recruiting rankings are often wrong.

But with limited practice time, of course coaches are going to give more initial reps to the 4 and 5* players, and less to the walk-ons.

Now, eventually, walk-ons may get noticed if they're kicking arse, but there's nothing wrong with coaches leaning toward the high recruit guys. Those guys are statistically more likely to produce.

ooh, ooh, ooh, is this the part where we use selective stats from only one game to prove who is better?

Daniels had passing TDs and no pick against Bama while Young only had 1 TD and threw a very costly Int.

JD also added 95 rushing yards and another TD.
Young only 10 rushing and no scores.

oh, and JD's team won.

so using tRant's logic, JD is better than Young.

Coaches will play the guy they think is best.
This 110% isn’t correct to an extent

Coaches always have a fleeting thought in the back of their head when they have a high recruit “It’s going to click. It will turn on. He has so much potential”

Are there times the walk on or underdog breaks through? Of course. But coaches are human. They have bias like anyone else

If you don’t think it’s true go watch Chris Simms vs Major Applewhite tapes

I think he means he’s been playing in “daddy ball” leagues where the rich daddy’s buy their sons playing time on teams to make them feel like big boys and that these kids end up thinking they are better than they actually are because of it. It’s the ultimate participation trophy without calling it a participation trophy.

Even so, it's still a stupid argument, and clearly not applicable to Bech.

Their QB was not statistically significantly better than JD in that game and three way less times because he didn’t have to thanks to their RB.

That QB was a true freshman I believe.
He was their third QB to play this year. Yet he made fewer mistakes than your Heisman Trophy candidate.
You are correct about their running back though. Our worn out defense couldn't stop him and our QB couldn't sustain a drive to give them respite.

Well Young had 328 yards and JD passing and rushing yards didn’t add up to 300 so that logic is flawed. Good job trying to be a smartass but you absolutely failed.

LSU fricked this up by not bulking him up a bit and play tight end full time

He wasn’t good enough. That’s it. He wasn’t going to play at WR or TE. He was given a shot at special teams and fumbled catchable balls.
Don’t see how he could question the process. It’s precisely because the competition was fair that he’s where he is.

There is always more to the story whether it’s good or bad on his part or LSU. There is for sure more to the story.

Why does he suggest people started the race at different spots?

Exactly. I was just thinking that he and Neighbors started the race at the same spot. It's just one may have been in more practices than the other and healthier than the other. We started hearing about shin splints near the start of fall camp. Is he saying that wasn't the case?
