So you honestly think a post predicting what I thought should happen as opposed to what happened and my subsequent change in opinion carries any weight. You are a total dumbass.

Dude, just own your frick up. It's so much easier.

How many all Americans along the offensive line?

All SEC?

None is how many.

No I see Coach O as a coach who is satisfied winning 9-10 games a season.

Do you honestly believe this?

There are a bunch of legitimate complaints about O, but come on man. Think about it

So you didn’t read what I said Or just chose to ignore it?

WE. DO. NOT. PUT. OUR. PLAYERS. IN. A. POSITION. TO. SUCEED.

No...I'd like you to spell out exactly how close.

Are we going to break it down by play, or can we just say that had we beaten UF and A&M we would have likely gotten in?

Because if you're saying he was only 2 wins away from the playoff, can't you just as well say we were 2 losses away from 7-5? We were a missed Cole Tracy bomb away from losing to AU, right? Are they over in Auburn finding ways to give Gus partial credit for that almost win?

Fact is, we went 9-3 again this season. At one point in the season, we had our destiny in front of us and then got prison raped by BAMA. Even THEN we had an outside shot if a ton of things went our way, and we lost again.

I just don't see how anyone can be being honest and suggest this represents being very close to the playoffs

I asked for the talent and nobody has even attempted to answer it. It's because it isn't there. Next year will be better I have no doubt.

Well, your opinion of talent has been shown to be just terrible, and you won't even stand by it. ]

Texas A&M had a better O line and a better D line than LSU on Saturday night. They had a better RB and better receivers too.

LSU loses too many players after three seasons of playing. Too many, like Will Clapp, should stgay for that fourth season. (Yes, I know Will graduated and redshirted his freshman year.) That fact dilutes our talent level, IMO.

Charles looked like a decent LT last year.

Brumsfield was 2nd team Preseason SEC, and Hines out played him while he was out.

I like chase, Marshal, Jefferson, Anderson and Sullivan at WR. T

I think Burrow would shred peoplenin an offense that worked.

If you don’t believe there is talent there how can you be confident about next year? We would need exponential improvement. These players regressed this year.

Well O has been running LSU's recruiting game for what, three years now? At some point he will run out of fingers to point trying to push blame.

Name the fricking talent then.

Are you asking people to name every "talented" player on our team? Do we have to have a roster of nothing but 5* in order to field a competent offense in your opinion? Anyway, here are some "talented players" on our offense. No idea what your definition of "talented" is and I'm sure it will shift any way it needs to in order for you to protect O.

QB - Burrow, Brennan
RB - The weakness of our offense in terms of raw talent. O has clearly dropped the ball in RB recruiting until this upcoming cycle. That said, I could see Brossette or Clyde kicking it around in the league on a practice squad or two. Both have a good head on their shoulders and do some things well that NFL teams look for.
OL - Decculus, Cushenberry, Hines, Charles, Brumfield
WR - Dillon, Chase, Marshall, Jefferson, Sullivan
TE - Moreau, Washington

No need to speculate. We'll find out next season, won't we?

We have Auburn, Florida and A&M at home. We have a resume building game against what should be a highly ranked (and overrated, IMO) Texas team. State will be lucky to be as good as they were this year as they lose a ton of guys on defense, and didn't do anything towards developing Thompson at QB this year. Our cross-division opponent is Vandy. Ole Miss and Arkansas are both still Ole Miss and Arkansas. And, honestly, we've had more success against Alabama on the road than we have at home over the last few decades.

There's no reason we shouldn't be 11-1 and in serious consideration for a playoff spot at this time next year.

I think he has done a really good job with managing the program outside of the performance of the offense.

On gameday the team looks like a well coached group and his in game coaching decisions look sound.

if we solve the offense we can absolutely make it into the playoffs; we were damn close this year.

This is what I don't understand about the "talent" argument. This seems to be almost what they're saying.

For use to be 11-1 we would need massive improvement in our offense.

Nothing O has done so far gives me faith that our offense will be anything more than Miles with lipstick.

I thought highly of Charles but he may be better suited to play guard.

Brumfield was never the same after being injured.

Chase and Marshall will be good for LSU moving forward.

Burrow will light it up next year.

Deculus can't play tackle or just wasn't ready to play. He might move to guard as well.

The offensive line was awful.

The running backs weren't what LSU is used too.

The talent was just not there or they were put in before they were ready.

But it’s not THIS bad.

It’s not complete dumpster fire offense bad.

Our offense doesn’t fool anyone’s we run to tendency so often.

You know why Alabama could both passrush and frick yo our screens? Because we ran them all on 3rd and long.
