its not the same situation, one is a coach leaving on good terms with historic success and handing it off to a former assistant to continue. the other is a crash and burn and the new guy is expected to fix it.
also wade added the buyout to his contract so mcneese got paid and could hire a good coach. what wade did at mcneese was inarguably awesome, and they love him for it.

Will Wade has been coaching college basketball many years and knows how to assemble a team and have it ready when the season begins.

They also bought Chris Duhon and his momma from us back in the late 90s.
I'm not sure if Dale was gone by then, but Dale could usually rustle up the coin to match the offers for the guys he really wanted.

Chris Duhon went to Duke in 2000, Dale was out of LSU by then.

Dale was gone by then, but Brady had Butch and we were still paying but we were on probation from the Lester Earl deal and that was killing us in recruiting and no doubt factored in on Duhon.

He wasn’t a fan prior to Wade being rehired but now he’s a fan, he just hates the coach and wants to to fail? When someone thinks everyone else is too stupid to see the obvious it’s just a reflection of their own stupidity.
