Can they get to the Final Four? I bet Alleva would look for a coach there.

Indiana is in line ahead of us. Probably Illinois, too.

Why would Greg Marshall leave for a less prestigious job?

Everyone is in line ahead of us since Joe Alleva doesn't do competition.

Yep. Joe likes to zero in on those long time coaches no one else wants.

U realize a contract is a two sided deal. They have to want to come to LSU. Just like Bama a few years ago. Marshall was not interested and Bama has the second highest win total in the SEC.

Less prestigious job? Do you mean LSU is less prestigious than Wichita St or do you mean not leaving for an Indiana or Kentucky?

marshall has made WSU a prestigious job like Gonzaga and Butler. They have proven they will pay good money and he makes the tourney every year.

Two of the best coaches in the game right now. I'd be ecstatic to take the loser of this one.

It's down to Will Wade or Kermit Davis dude. Musselman will probably end up at Cal. Wouldn't mind Kermit but not sold on Wade.

Either guy would be a home run hire, but I think Marshall is top 5 coach in the country. We would compete for national championship with him here.

Archie Miller turned down his alma matter in the heart of basketball country...a team that made the tourney 4 of last 6 years

Why in the world would he go to LSU

Bro Gregg Marshall makes 3 mil a year now and Miller will get that for his next gig. LSU is not in the ballpark. Barely 2 mil offer. So offer all you want.

How delusional can ya'll get? Both coaches will only leave for a blue blood, or in Archie Miller's case Ohio State when it comes open in a year or two. Not some third tier SEC school.
